A horrific collision just happened on Kham Thien Street, Hanoi. A blue Ford Raptor pickup truck suddenly lost control, jumped onto the sidewalk, and plowed into about 6-7 parked motorbikes, causing panic among passersby.
After receiving the information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) identified the driver, checked his alcohol concentration and quickly tested for illegal substances.
The identity of the driver who caused the series of collisions was identified as Nguyen Van T. (born in 1971, residing in Hanoi). The results of alcohol concentration tests and rapid drug tests did not detect any violations.
Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on July 23, Mr. T. drove a pickup truck with license plate 30F-498.XX on Kham Thien Street (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward). When arriving in front of house number 83-85 on Kham Thien Street, the car suddenly sped forward, jumping over many vehicles, causing 9 motorbikes to be damaged, and even causing a man standing on the sidewalk to be dragged under the car. Immediately after the incident, local people and traffic police immediately lifted the car to rescue the victim and took him to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The local police force and traffic police quickly arrived to regulate traffic, make a report and handle the incident. The accident occurred during rush hour, causing traffic around the area to be partially paralyzed.
After the collision, the driver presented his driver's license and vehicle registration. Mr. T. said he had just bought the car. When he got in and started the engine, the car suddenly accelerated and sped forward, causing a series of collisions.
Update on one of the seriously injured victims in the above collision, Mr. NVT (58 years old, residing in Tuong Mai ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi). Mr. T was taken to the emergency room by local people in critical condition and urgently transferred to Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.
According to information from the hospital, the patient was admitted with a diagnosis of multiple injuries including: skin peeling wound on the left buttock, suspected traumatic brain injury, maxillofacial injury, closed chest and abdominal injuries. Immediately after admission, the doctors consulted and prescribed emergency surgery to save the patient's life.
A few days ago, on social media, there was a tragic collision because the driver lost control, causing 1 death. Specifically, according to the commander of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (Hanoi Traffic Police Department), at about 8:15 p.m. on July 16, on Nguyen Trac Street (Duong Noi Ward, Hanoi), there was a series of collisions between 3 cars and 1 motorbike.
According to witnesses at the scene, at that time, a young man driving a car on Nguyen Trac Street suddenly collided with 2 other cars and a motorbike. The collision was so strong that the vehicles were damaged.
"There were many injured people lying at the scene. Debris from the vehicles was scattered all over the road, the male driver appeared to be drunk," said a witness.
At that time, when many people were selling street food in front of the CT7 Duong Noi apartment building, suddenly a white car (license plate unknown) traveling from To Huu to Aeon Mall Ha Dong lost control and crashed straight into the street vendors, dragging a man under the car for a long distance.
At the scene, the car that caused the collision had severe front-end damage, another car was overturned and damaged. 3 motorbikes were hit and fell onto the road. Many pieces of the vehicles were scattered on the road.
Initial information shows that 1 victim died on the spot, at least 5 other victims were taken to the emergency room. 5 cars and a series of motorbikes were severely damaged after the collision. Traffic Police Team No. 7, Traffic Police Department and Duong Noi Ward Police are investigating the incident. The identity of the driver who caused the accident was identified as Le Minh G. (born in 1984, currently a lecturer at a college).
According to the records, the scene of the collision became chaotic, people gathered in large numbers to follow the situation of the incident. Right next to where a person lay motionless, a woman burst into tears, her cries echoing, making anyone who witnessed it choke up.
According to people living near the area, the victim was a resident of a nearby apartment building. The woman was a relative of the victim.
