In 2017, Cung continued to make up the story that he and the orphans at the orphanage center were kidnapped and locked in a truck for ransom. Cung assigned Khoa to compose a message, set up a fake scene of the kidnapping and send it to a Buddhist woman in Hanoi to trick this person into transferring money to Cung's account, and at the same time bring cash to Khoa and his driver. The total amount is more than 26 billion VND.
