This gullible young woman participated in an online phone giveaway program and fell into the trap of scammers who preyed on the psychology of people who needed to borrow mone.y to serve their lives. They had to mortgage sensitive clips and images.
According to the investigation agency, recently, there have been cases of people lending mone.y but requiring customers to mortgage sensitive clips and images. In particular, many young people have appeared using their own nake.d photos and video clips as collateral to borrow mone.y for spending.

However, due to the high interest rates that must be paid daily, the borrowers' lives are almost suffocated, leaving them stuck in debt with no way out. When they are unable to repay their debts, they are threatened by the lenders to spread sensitive video clips and images on social networks and send them to friends and family members to threate.n them to collect their debts.
After learning about the incident, relatives had to agree to pay the debt, and the amount of mone.y appropriated was many times larger than the original loan. Notably, in many cases, the lender promised to delete the photos and clips after paying off the debt, but then used them to continue to threate.n and intimidat.e the victi.m in order to appropriate an even higher amount of mone.y.

Most recently, news from Hanoi City Police said that the unit had just received a report from a 13-year-old gir.l about being terrorized and threatened with a ho.t clip. The gir.l said she participated in a free iPhone 15 gift program on Facebook. When asked about the rules for receiving the gift, the victi.m was instructed to declare her personal information.
After that, the subject asked the young woman to transfer 800,000 VND to receive the gift. Because she had no mone.y to transfer, the subject threatened to report the victi.m to the police for ruining the gift program. At this time, the gir.l received a message asking for a loan in the form of sending a sensitive clip. The victi.m agreed and recorded the clip and sent it to the subjects to get mone.y to pay off the debt. When the victi.m was late in paying, she was "terrorized", demanded the debt, and threatened to continue recording more clips.

Hanoi City Police recommends that people be vigilant against types of loans advertised as collateral for sensitive clips and images. This type of loan will cause unpredictable consequences if not stopped. People absolutely must not provide personal information to debt collectors such as information about personal documents, family relationships, colleagues, friends, workplace, residence... Otherwise, they will fall into the "trap" of the subjects and be controlled by them if they cannot pay the mone.y.
