Regarding the incident in which many residents of the 6th Element apartment building had their contact information posted on a sensitive website, Ms. H - a victi.m - handed over to the police some important images.
On August 18, the leader of Tay Ho District Police (Hanoi) said that he had received the information and was verifying and clarifying it. "The police are consolidating documents and evidence. Whoever is at fault must take responsibility," the leader of Tay Ho District Police affirmed.
According to the leader of Tay Ho District Police, regarding disturbing public order, causing insecurity and disorder, harming others, slandering, threatening mentally, insulting... the police agency will handle and handle it strictly and when there is official information, it will notify the press.
In a related development, Ms. LTTH, residing at the 6th Element apartment building, sent a criminal complaint to the professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi City Police, Tay Ho District Police, and Tay Ho District People's Procuracy regarding the act of defamatio.n, insultin.g reputation and honor, and spreading sensitive cultural products, slander...
Ms. H. reported that after the residents' contact numbers were posted on a sensitive website, Ms. H. herself was mentally damaged by hundreds of phone calls from strange numbers soliciting her to sell flowers and go on "tours", causing her to suffer a mental breakdown.
Notably, Ms. H also said that she had handed over to the police a cell phone that allegedly contained images of H.'s face cropped onto overly expose.d bodies. Ms. H had kept the phone from someone who was present at the building management office (6th floor, 6th Element apartment building). Residents reported that this stranger had only recently appeared in the apartment building.
According to Ms. H's petition, she met this person in the working area of the Building Management Board, where the subject had provocativ.e and challenging behavior towards Ms. H, although the police had previously drawn up a precautionary report after this person and residents had a conflict and exchanged words in the lobby of the apartment building. In particular, when standing next to this person and looking at his phone, Ms. H discovered that there were many photos of her on the phone that had been edited in a very offensive way.
"When I saw that the subject had such images on his phone and I was being harassed, I kept the subject's phone to hand it over to the police as evidence for investigation. Immediately after keeping the phone, I called and texted the Chief of Xuan La Ward Police and the Xuan La Ward Police officers to report the incident (with clear date and time evidence) and immediately went to the Ward Police to hand over the phone" - Ms. H, stated in the petition sent to the authorities.
According to Ms. H., before that, she was repeatedly scolded, slapped, and twisted by the apartment security staff, who then posted on the residents' page to defame and slander her. After the police made a precautionary report, the apartment security staff apologized. At the same time, the building's management board and the security service company apologized to the residents for the incident, wrote a correction article, and paid for the medical expenses (with a report attached).
Previously, on August 14, many residents living in the 6th Element apartment building (investor is Bac Ha Group Joint Stock Company) filed a complaint with the police about their personal information being posted on a sensitive website, and were then continuously harassed and annoyed.
"The contact numbers posted on dark websites are all apartments that are subject to temporary payment of service fees (all electricity, water, car and motorbike parking fees are paid in full) because the Management Board and the Administration Board have not publicly and transparently disclosed the detailed list of revenues and expenditures, and use of the building's maintenance fund, even though residents have continuously requested disclosure for many months now" - a resident said.
In addition to having their personal phone numbers posted on dark websites, residents here also said that recently, at the 6th Element building, there have also been conflicts between residents and some strangers from outside... causing them to have to call the police for help many times.
