Police have just dismantled a huge fake health food production line, causing a stir in public opinion. What is condemnable is that they "sophisticatedly" targeted children, falsely advertising their benefits for profit. The health consequences for children are unpredictable.
On April 25, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency said it was investigating a large-scale health food production ring that used fake test results to bring products to market. In particular, the subjects in this ring targeted nutritional supplements for children, including infants.
The ringleader is Pham Vu Khiem, Director of Herbitech Technology Company Limited. During the investigation, the authorities determined that two health food products identified as counterfeit were produced by Herbitech Technology Company Limited in Block 8, Phu Lo Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi, namely BAB.Y SHARK and Medi Kid Calcium K2.
The police agency determined that the above company had processed and produced more than 200 products worth hundreds of billions of VND, but lacked quality control. Although the products were advertised as imported from France, Germany, and the US, the actual price and products were not as announced.
At the police station, Pham Vu Khiem initially confessed to having altered the product's declared target. Specifically, he had altered the content to make it unsatisfactory in order to release it to the market.
Major Nguyen Van Thanh, an officer of the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Ministry of Public Security), said that counterfeiters will mass-produce products according to customer criteria. Accordingly, in order for counterfeit products to be circulated on the market, the subjects will send samples for consultation so that competent companies can test and re-test whether the ingredients and quantities are correct as announced or not. When testing, if the tested samples do not meet the declared product standards, the subjects will cooperate and discuss, agree with the testing companies to edit the results, or even falsify the test results.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Security also dismantled a ring producing, trading, and consuming fake milk powder in extremely large quantities in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
Initial investigation results show that from August 2021 to present, the subjects in this counterfeit goods production and trading ring have established Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Hacofood Group Nutrition Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to produce and trade powdered milk.
To date, 573 brands of powdered milk for people with diabetes, kidney failure, premature babies, and pregnant women have been produced. The ingredients listed on the packaging are bird's nest extract, cordyceps, macadamia powder, walnut powder... but in reality, these substances are completely absent from the products.
According to the investigation agency, the subjects removed some input materials and replaced and added some additives. The police agency determined that the powdered milk had inappropriate indicators of some substances reaching less than 70% of the declared level, which is enough to be determined as counterfeit goods.
This is not only the responsibility of the authorities but also the responsibility of the whole community. Every citizen needs to raise awareness and denounce the production and trading of counterfeit and substandard goods. The media needs to increase propaganda and raise awareness among people about the harmful effects of fake food. Only with the cooperation of the whole society can we push back this problem, protect the health and future of the young generation - the future owners of the country.
The dismantling of a fake health food chain targeting children is a remarkable achievement of the authorities. However, this is also a valuable lesson, requiring more drastic and coordinated intervention from all levels and sectors to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Do not let disguised "nutritional" products become "poiso.n" that destroys the future of our children.

Hoàng Anh11:38:06 16/04/2025Since the Ministry of Public Security has just dismantled a production line of nearly 600 types of fake milk put on the market, many consumers are worried and confused after accidentally giving their children one of the above types of milk in the past.
