On the afternoon of January 17, residents of Hoang Long commune, Phu Xuyen district discovered a family of four people had passed away, so they reported it to the authorities, including an old woman named Nh. over 70 years old, her daughter-in-law about 50 years old, and the old woman's two grandchildren about 19 and 16 years old.

Immediately after receiving the information, Phu Xuyen District Police directed Hoang Long Commune Police to coordinate with the Criminal Police - Economic - Drug Team and other professional teams to urgently cordon off the scene and verify the cause of death.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper, throughout the night of January 17, many relatives and neighbors were still standing outside the scene of the four deaths in Hoang Long commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi, waiting for the authorities to examine the scene.

At the same time, the authorities also went to knock on the doors of each house around the scene to check and collect their information to get more information. Notably, the people provided details about Ms. Nh.'s son named V. who is currently absent from the area. Mr. N. (57 years old, living opposite the scene), told the press that Ms. Nh.'s family lives very privately and has no conflicts with neighbors.

This family has not made any movement for the past 2 days. The last detail about them provided by Mr. N. was that at around 4:00 p.m. on January 16, he saw Mr. V. wearing a jacket walking at the entrance of the village. At this time, Mr. N. loudly asked "Where are you going?" but Mr. V. just bowed his head and walked away without responding.

The commander added that Mr. V - Mrs. Nh's son in the locality showed no signs of abnormality, was in stable health, and was not involved in any social evils. The local government also did not record any internal conflicts in Mrs. Nh's family.

Also since January 16, Ms. Nh.'s daughter-in-law's construction worker colleague could not contact her, so he called the family to check and discovered the heartbreaking incident. Currently, neighboring families are helping to arrange the funeral for 4 people in Ms. Nh.'s family.

Ms. L (neighbor) said that in recent days, she and the surrounding people did not hear any arguing or any strange noises coming from Mr. N's house. "Yesterday afternoon, when I was about to go get medicine, everyone said that Mr. N had passed away. When I returned from getting medicine, I found out that Mr. N's daughter-in-law and two grandchildren had also passed away. The discovery surprised everyone, and until now we still do not understand why they passed away," Ms. L said.

According to locals, Mr. N is in poor health and lives with his son, V. He is quiet and rarely communicates with people around him. Mr. V and his wife have two daughters and a son.

"On the evening of January 15, I saw Mr. V's wife and children watering the vegetables but then they didn't appear," another neighbor shared.

On January 18, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency coordinated with Phu Xuyen District Police to arrest suspect Vu Van Vuong (residing in Hoang Long Commune, Phu Xuyen District, Hanoi) to clarify his actions.

Vuong was identified as the suspect in the deaths of four people in the same family in Kim Long Trung village, Hoang Long commune. The victims were Vuong's mother (Mrs. Nh.), wife and two children.

Previously, Mr. Vu Van Chung - Head of Kim Long Trung village said that Ms. Nh. lived with her son Vuong's family, Vuong's wife and this man's 2 children. The incident was discovered at around 2:00 p.m. the same day when Ms. Nh.'s daughter (79 years old) came to clean the house and visit her mother. Here, she discovered that her mother had passed away in bed.

She informed her relatives and neighbors to prepare for Mrs. Nh's burial. When she entered the bedroom, the daughter was shocked to discover her sister-in-law and two children lifeless under the bed. Only Vuong was not at home.

According to some residents in Hamlet 4, Ngo Cau, Kim Long Trung village, Ms. Nh.'s family has not made any movements for the past 2 days. Ms. Nh.'s daughter-in-law works as a construction worker, but no one has been able to contact her since January 16.
