The woman and her 30-year-old nails make everyone scared

According to The Sun, because she loves her mother's long-sleeved dishes very much, since 1989, Cordelia Adams (59 years old, in Gary, Indiana, USA) decided to grow her nails. At one point, this woman's fingernails were up to 40cm long.

Cordelia had many difficulties in the beginning of growing her nails, but after many years of owning special nails, she was completely used to them. Currently, she wants to keep her nails at a length of 30cm, so she always pays attention to trimming so that the nails have the desired length.

Originally a nail technician, Cordelia was looking for ways to make everyday life more convenient. For example, she often uses knuckles instead of fingertips. "If I'm making something, like a burger, using my fingertips to flip the meat over and over is definitely going to be difficult for me," Cordelia says.

Talking about her unique nails on TikTok, the woman said: "The best thing about owning super long nails is getting attention. I joined TikTok during the outbreak and just I do it for fun because I see people doing funny things on it. However, just one video of me washing my hands has attracted 17 million views."

Despite the difficulties in daily life, and negative comments, Cordelia still loves her nails. The woman treats her 30cm long nails like a work of art, regularly drawing dramatic and intricate patterns on each nail.

"Much of my sister's life has been spent growing her nails. So if I cut them off like people say, my sister will no longer be herself," Yalonda - Cordelia's sister said.

But Cordelia is not the only person in the world with this bizarre and inconvenient hobby.

Ayanna Williams, from Houston, Texas, USA, once set the Guinness World Record for the person with the longest nails in the world in 2017, with a total length of up to 5.8m. At that time, she had to use two bottles of nail polish and more than 20 hours to complete the manicure.
