Vinh Long: The owner of the livestream box, insulting the abbot was fined 15 million VND

On October 5, the Police of Long Ho district (Vinh Long province) said that it had served a decision to sanction administrative violations in the amount of 15 million VND to L.H.N (36 years old; living in Vinh Long city, is the owner of H.N box) for the act of "Violating regulations on responsibility for using social network services; website is set up through social networks".

Earlier on September 7, the Long Ho District Police received a report from Mr. P.T.P, legal name T.T.H - Abbot of S.A Pagoda (Thanh Duc commune, Long Ho district, Vinh Long province) about a local box farm owner coming to the pagoda livestream on the Facebook social network with insulting words against him and the pagoda.

According to the verification results, the incident occurred on September 6. Specifically, at about 18:20, Mr. N. and many strangers entered S.A Pagoda to sniff, shout, search, and invade illegal worship facilities. The main purpose of this group of people was to find the abbot T.T.H. because he thought that he had interfered in the business of the owner of the ark farm.

Because he could not meet the abbot to talk, the man went outside the temple gate using his personal phone to play a live video with a length of about 3 minutes on the social networking platform Facebook.

The content in the livestream is "Mr. T.T.H - Abbot of S.A Pagoda who has business behavior, "triggering" with M.T box camp to do business to enjoy commissions". Accompanied by indecent, fabricated, insulting, and slanderous words that slander the dignity of the abbot and the temple.

In addition, on the social network accounts Zalo, Facebook allegedly belonging to Mr. N. has many articles with similar content... At the same time, the Thanh Duc Commune Police were present to prevent the behavior, exchange and work with N. and related people. However, he still did not stop the live broadcast and continued to speak on the air.

During the verification process, the police invited the relevant people mentioned by Mr. N. in the clip. However, N. had no basis to prove the agreement between the abbot of the temple and the owner of the M.T. box.

After the Long Ho District Police invited Mr. N. to work, explained, he admitted the violation, obeyed the decision, did not ask questions, complained and completed the obligation to pay the fine.

According to N., the reason for this incident was that 2 days ago, a house in Thanh Duc commune, Long Ho district came to his facility to "lock" the funeral service of 1 deceased. The box camp also sent people to decorate the funeral hall, but then the owner suddenly "broke the rafters" to hire services elsewhere.

"I contacted the owner to see the burial date at S.A Pagoda and was instructed by the abbot to hire services elsewhere. I went to the pagoda to find Mr. H. to ask but couldn't meet me, so I livestreamed in front of the pagoda, I just wanted to let everyone know about the incident, I didn't swear or cause trouble at all...", Mr. N. said.

After the incident was shared on social networks, many people thought that Mr. N. was just too frustrated because he was suddenly canceled, but he couldn't control his anger, so he took such an action. Anyway, he knew he was wrong and admitted his mistake and accepted the penalty was too good.
