Go Vap: two motorbikes crashed into a house, died on the spot, suspected robbery?

Recently, social networks recorded a serious collision that occurred in Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City. The incident caused public panic when both vehicles crashed into a house and knocked them unconscious on the spot. People quickly reported the incident to the authorities to investigate.

At around 10:30 pm on June 10, a horrific traffic accident occurred on Thong Nhat Street, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, taking the lives of two young men. It is worth mentioning that, according to the initial investigation by the police, this was not just a simple accident but the tragic end of a chase after a phone snatching act, leaving the witnesses and the community in shock.

According to initial information, at the time of the incident, it was raining and visibility was limited. Two young men (25-33 years old) were driving a motorbike at high speed on Thong Nhat Street, heading towards National Highway 1. When they reached the Pham Van Chieu intersection, a horrifying scene took place: both vehicles suddenly crashed straight into the door and wall of a house along the road with extremely strong impact force.

The scene of the accident left a scene of devastation. The front of both motorbikes was completely crushed, the axles of the wheels were warped and deformed, showing the terrible speed of the collision. One person died on the spot, while the other was seriously injured. The Go Vap SOS team quickly arrived to provide emergency assistance, but unfortunately, the second victim also died later. This heartbreaking incident happened so quickly, leaving the surrounding people shocked and heartbroken.

Mr. Quang, a resident living near the scene, was still in shock when recounting what he witnessed. He said that right before the accident happened, he heard a young man on a motorbike chasing the car in front, shouting "robbery, robbery". The sound of a cry for help in the rainy night signaled that something bad was about to happen.

After the collision, one of the two vehicles was thrown into the air about 3 meters, collapsing the porch of a house along the road. The impact was so strong that the porch was severely damaged, indicating the seriousness of the accident. Mr. Quang's account provided an important clue, helping authorities quickly identify and clarify the root cause of the incident.

According to information from the police, through initial investigation, the truth of the case has gradually been clarified. A 33-year-old man (living in District 4) was identified as the subject who committed the robbery. This person had previously snatched the phone of the other victim at a milk tea shop located on Thong Nhat Street, Ward 16.

Immediately after having his phone snatched, the victim did not hesitate to chase the robber. The two cars chased each other at high speed for about a kilometer, despite the rainy and slippery conditions. This fateful chase ended in a terrible accident, causing both the robber and the victim to pay with their lives. This is a heartbreaking tragedy, not only because of the loss of two young men but also because of the way they ended their lives in such a tragic and dangerous situation.

The incident in Go Vap once again sounded the alarm about the security situation and traffic awareness. The act of snatching property not only causes material damage but also poses unpredictable dangers to the lives of both the perpetrator and the victim. The victim chasing the robber in slippery road conditions, rain and high speed is a very risky act, even though it comes from a legitimate frustration.

Traffic safety experts and authorities often advise people to stay calm and prioritize their own safety when faced with a robbery. Memorizing the vehicle’s identification features and license plate number and immediately reporting it to the police is the most effective and safest way to ensure that the authorities can intervene promptly, instead of pursuing the suspect in dangerous conditions.

This incident is a valuable lesson for everyone, reminding us of the preciousness of life and the importance of obeying the law, as well as equipping ourselves with the knowledge to protect ourselves in the safest way in all situations.
