A video showing a young woman fainting at a stall after being confronted by two unfamiliar women is causing a stir on social media. Authorities in Krông Pắk commune (Đắk Lắk province) have officially launched an investigation to verify the identities of those involved.
An unusual "approach" in Hoa An market.
The incident occurred at noon on February 25th at Hoa An Market, Krong Pak commune, Dak Lak province. The victim was Ms. C. (23 years old), a small trader doing business there. According to security camera footage and witness accounts, the incident resembled a staged robbery using sophisticated methods.
At that time, while Ms. C. was tending her stall as usual, two unfamiliar women appeared. Both had their faces covered, wearing masks and helmets, deliberately concealing their identities. Instead of asking to buy anything in the usual way, they suddenly approached her, held up a phone in front of Ms. C., and asked to see something.
Ms. C. stated that from the moment they approached, she had a feeling something was amiss. The furtive behavior and unnecessary closeness of the two women aroused her suspicion. With heightened vigilance, Ms. C. loudly demanded that the two women leave her stall immediately.
Dramatic turn of events: Fainted after seconds of "confrontation"
Ms. C.'s strong reaction, along with her mother's timely appearance from inside the stall, caused the two suspects to back down. Seeing that they couldn't continue their plan, the two women quickly turned around, got on their motorbike, and fled the scene.
However, the real horror began shortly afterward. Just seconds after the two strangers left, Ms. C. suddenly felt intensely dizzy, her limbs went weak, and she collapsed, fainting right in the middle of the market, much to the shock of those around her. The image of the young woman collapsing on the cement floor sent chills down the spines of many who watched the video, highlighting the severity of the incident.
The online community is outraged, and the police are launching a swift investigation.
Immediately after the clip was posted, it became a hot topic of discussion on social media groups in Dak Lak and across the country. Thousands of comments expressed concern about some kind of "anesthetic" or psychotropic substance being secretly used by the perpetrators (possibly by spraying or applying it to the phone) to incapacitate the victim in order to steal their property.
Given the seriousness of the situation and the public's alarm, the Krông Pắk commune police chief confirmed on February 27th that the unit had taken notice of the incident. An initial report has been sent to the Đắk Lắk Provincial Police for guidance.
"We are urgently verifying the identities of the two women involved in the incident to clarify their motives and methods of action," the head of the Krông Pắk commune police emphasized.
Warning: Don't underestimate "strangers"
Although the exact cause of Ms. C.'s fainting is still awaiting official conclusions from the investigating authorities and medical professionals (whether it was due to external force, chemicals, or an extreme psychological reaction), this serves as a warning to the public, especially women who sell goods alone.
Security experts advise small business owners to: Maintain a safe distance from strangers, especially those with their faces completely covered. Be wary of "strange" actions such as bringing strange objects close to the nose or eyes, or asking to see phones or maps at too close a distance. Always have a surveillance camera system and keep the emergency contact number of the market management or local police.
Currently, the identities of the two female suspects remain unknown. We will continue to update you with the latest developments as soon as we receive a conclusion from the authorities.
