The practice of using celebrity images to edit and edit using AI technology is not new, but it has caused headaches for many stars, including Hoa Minzy. The female singer spoke up to warn and beg netizens not to believe in these videos.
Recently, on her official fanpage, singer Hoa Minzy posted a long article with a series of evidences, warning the audience that many subjects are using AI technology to fake images and videos, to scam or illegally advertise under her name. This move by the singer of "Leaving" quickly attracted the attention of the online community and fans, in the context of the deepfake problem spreading on digital platforms.
In the post, Hoa Minzy said she discovered many "AI-generated" advertising clips that used her image and face to speak, move, and even express emotions so realistically that it was scary.
"Fraud warning. Dear audience, currently using AI to create advertising clips is very popular, they use a person's photo to create clips of people talking and acting, it's so scary. Hoa Minzy's image is also being used by subjects and creating clips to deceive users," she wrote.
To help audiences identify the official channels, Hoa Minzy has made public all of her Facebook, Instagram, TikTok accounts and official fanpage. The singer affirmed that if audiences see any advertising clips using her image but not appearing on official pages, it is very likely a scam product.
Hoa Minzy emphasized that she always chooses to cooperate with guaranteed brands and never advertises widely or agrees to represent products of unknown origin. "Hoa always carefully selects and selects products or projects as well as big brands and does not spread them widely, so if you accidentally see a clip online that is not advertised on Hoa's pages, it means it has signs of fraud. Let's join hands in reporting and be alert not to follow or buy from it," Hoa Minzy advised.
This is not the first time the singer born in 1995 has had to speak up about being impersonated. Previously, in April 2025, Hoa Minzy announced that an individual claimed to be her representative to sign a performance contract at an event in Quang Ninh. This behavior caused misunderstandings among the organizers and many partners, forcing her to speak up to correct and warn publicly to avoid damage to her reputation and economy.
Over the years, Hoa Minzy has been known as an artist who maintains a clean, friendly and professional image, so she is always cautious in commercial cooperation. It is this seriousness that makes image forgery by AI a big concern, not only for her but for many Vietnamese artists today.
In the case of Hoa Minzy, fake clips can be used to promote low-quality products, attract consumers, and damage both reputation and audience trust.
The singerâs post received a lot of sympathy and shares from the online community. Many people expressed concern about the misuse of AI technology, and praised Hoa Minzy for quickly speaking up to protect herself and the audience.
Some fans commented: "Hoa is very commendable, artists need to be proactive like that to protect their image", "AI is really scary now, thank you Hoa for warning people to be more vigilant".
