Previously, at noon on September 27, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Phong commune (Que Phong district, Nghe An) Vo Khanh Toan said that people in the area had just discovered a bomb. At about 6 a.m. this morning (September 27), Mr. Luong Van An's household (residing in Muong Hin village, Tien Phong commune) suddenly discovered an open bomb next to a ditch near his house, after heavy rain eroded the soil layer. stone. Upon receiving the news, local authorities coordinated with the Que Phong District Military Command to quickly arrive at the scene, stretch warning wires, and be on duty 24 hours to ensure safety.

Through inspection, this bomb was 40cm in diameter, about 150cm long and weighed about 340kg, colorless, with the detonator intact and rusted. Using professional skills, the Department of Engineering and Military Command of Nghe An province neutralized the detonator.

By this morning (September 29), the functional forces had salvaged and organized the transportation of the bomb to the hill area of Na Chang village (Tien Phong commune) to successfully and safely detonate it.
