Finally, this YouTuber concluded that NewJeans' song was not plagiarized. This person also said that the reason the plagiarism question arose was because the person who raised the issue mashed up two songs to make them the same. It's possible that Bubble Gum used a sample from Easier said than done, but neither the copyright website nor the MV's credits show that NewJeans' song registered to take a sample from its predecessor. However, this is just the personal opinion of a YouTuber and both sides have not come to an official conclusion, so the case still receives a lot of attention.

Easier said than done is a big hit by Shakatak released in 1981. After many member changes, this British group is still active until now.

Previously, when Bubble Gum was released, Vietnamese music fans also thought that the spoken part of this song was quite similar to the song "Do you guess" that Bich Phuong released in 2021. Previously, ILLIT was constantly accused of imitating the choreography of NewJeans hits such as "Cookie", "Hype Boy" and "Super Shy".
