According to information from Dan Tri newspaper , at about 9pm on October 6, after a loud explosion, the rooftop of a 4-storey house on Minh Phung Street, Ward 9 (District 6, Ho Chi Minh City). HCM) burst into flames.
Spotting the fire, some people living in the house immediately fled outside to shout and report to authorities. A few minutes later, a strong fire enveloped the top floor, accompanied by multiple explosions, causing the entire residential area to riot.
Ms. Ha, who lives next to the house on fire, said that before the fire broke out, the house made many "thumping" sounds such as exploding electric batteries or mini gas cylinders. "I saw 4 people in the house including elderly people, women and young children running outside," she said.
Receiving the information, the District 6 Police Fire and Rescue Team dispatched nearly 10 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. The power system was temporarily shut down and part of Minh Phung Street was blocked for the authorities to deploy firefighting work.
However, firefighting work was hampered by the fire at high altitude. Vehicles raised ladders to take firefighters aloft, approaching the family's cooking area to put out the fire. The other prevented the fire from spreading to the lower floors. Power in the area was cut off. By 11 p.m., firefighters were basically under control of the fire.
The fire did not cause any loss of life but caused some properties on the 4th floor to be burned and damaged. Some residents said that the house had a cosmetics trade fire and when the fire broke out, the host family managed to escape.
In recent years, the whole country has also had many fires, the most serious of which is the mini apartment fire in Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi on the night of 12/9. The house has an area of over 200m2 with about 150 people living. The fire killed 56 people and injured many more.
According to information from Bach Mai Hospital, the male patient N.V.C (37 years old) who was the most seriously injured in the mini apartment fire on Khuong Ha Street (Khuong Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City) is recovering. The patient is no longer on a ventilator.
Mr. C. suffered from severe smoke asphyxiation from the fire, was in a critical coma when admitted to the hospital, his lungs blackened by toxic fumes, and the prognosis of death was high. He was able to communicate now, but slowly. After 23 days of intensive treatment, care and monitoring at Bach Mai Hospital, the patient made positive progress. This is the joy of the family as well as the medical team treating during the process.
Currently, Bach Mai Hospital is still receiving treatment for patients from the mini-apartment fire, some of whom have been discharged.
According to the conclusion from the Institute of Criminal Sciences under the Ministry of Public Security, the starting point of the fire is located in the area adjacent to the southern wall, about 2.3m from the east wall, on the first floor of the house with many apartments. The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short circuit on the power line at the battery area, belonging to the front of motorcycles using gasoline engines, scooter type. The fire then spread to the electrical cable area, the electric meter boxes mounted on the field on the 1st floor and sold to the surroundings, leading to the fire.
Regarding the mini-apartment fire that killed 56 people, the Hanoi Police Investigation Department decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a temporary arrest warrant for Nghiem Quang Minh (born in 1979, in Cau Giay district) who is the owner of the apartment for violating regulations on fire protection.

Rent support is 6 million VND/household (for households), 1.5 million/person/month for students, workers, employees renting (or sharing apartments) (supporting each individual), the support period is for 6 months.

Support money to buy books and school supplies for children of families in the fire, VND 5 million/child and other support if families need (cremation fee support...). Support for taking care of orphans is 100 million VND/grandchild.
For child victims, the city's Children's Sponsorship Fund provides an additional VND 5 million/child who did not survive and VND 10 million/injured child who had to be treated at the hospital.
