Funeral of mother and c.hild in a.ccident in Binh Duong: Grief engulfs, relatives in pain

The d.eath of a mother and her c.hild in a traffic a.ccident in Di An City, Binh Duong has left many people heartbroken. On the morning of August 12, many relatives, colleagues, and friends could not hold back their tears at the funeral of the mother and c.hild at a small house in Tan Thang neighborhood.

In recent days, public opinion has been heartbroken by a traffic collision in Binh Duong that k.illed a mother and her c.hild on the spot. Accordingly, at around 2:00 p.m. on August 10, a motorbike taxi driver, Mr. Tran Xuan Bao (49 years old, Thu Duc City) was carrying a woman and a b.oy on My Phuoc - Tan Van road (through Binh An ward, Di An city, Binh Duong).

When arriving at the traffic light intersection with Chau Thoi Street (Binh An Ward, Di An City, Binh Duong), Mr. Bao's car collided with a truck with license plate 50H-146.42 running in the same direction on the left.

The collision caused all three people on the motorbike to fall onto the road, the woman and the b.oy were run over by the truck and died on the spot. The technology car driver was lucky to escape, with minor injuries but was in a state of panic after witnessing the tragic scene.

A home security camera recorded the traffic collision. According to the clip, the truck was driving recklessly, encroaching on the motorbike lane and forcing the motorbike to fall. The last image of the mother and c.hild before the a.ccident made people feel heartbroken.

Regarding the above incident, the Criminal Police Department has just detained truck driver Nguyen Van Ron (28 years old, from Thua Thien Hue) to investigate his violation of regulations on road traffic control.

Two days after the tragic incident, on the morning of August 12, the funeral of Ms. Vo Thi Sam (37 years old) and her 6-year-old son Tran Bach Lam was held at a small house in alley 700/35/1 Bui Thi Xuan, Tan Thang quarter, Tan Binh ward, Di An city, amid the grief and sorrow of the family and neighbors. The atmosphere of mourning enveloped the small, peaceful alley.

Since early morning, colleagues, friends, neighbors and even students of Ms. Sam have come here to burn incense and offer condolences to the family. Amidst the white wreaths covering from the outside gate to the inside of the house, most of the people attending the funeral could not hold back their tears. People living in the alley are still in s.hock, everyone is heartbroken by the sudden and p.ainful passing of Ms. Vo Thi Sam and her children.

Standing next to his wife and son's coffin, the man who was both a father and a husband tried to hold back his tears but could not hold back his sobs... Perhaps, he had never experienced such great pain and loss in his life. In just one afternoon, he lost both his wife and his little son who was about to start first grade.

Sharing with the media, Mr. Tran Van Tien (Ms. Sam's father-in-law) shared, "Sam is my daughter-in-law who delivers food to her husband - her husband is a container truck driver."

Recalling the day of the tragic incident, Mr. Tien said that on that day, Sam and her daughter went to deliver food to her husband and unfortunately had an a.ccident. "That day, the mother and daughter went to deliver food to her husband and father. Normally, the mother and daughter usually ride a motorbike, but that day they took a motorbike taxi. The older daughter at home did not know what happened. When it was time to go to school, her mother had not returned, so she called her father and he told her that her mother had had an a.ccident. It was so sad. The nephew was only 6 years old, had just started first grade, and had already prepared his uniform."

Thinking about his niece who suddenly lost her mother and younger brother, Mr. Tien could not help but feel heartbroken when he saw his niece continuously sobbing at her mother's funeral. "She cried a lot, I just hope she will gradually regain her composure," Mr. Tien choked up.

To stabilize his son's psychology after the pain of losing both his wife and c.hild on that fateful afternoon, Mr. Tien plans to take the whole family back to his hometown to live for a while. "I plan to take my son back to his hometown for a while to calm down and stabilize his mind. If he gets behind the wheel now, it will be very dangerous."
