On January 22, Quang Ngai Provincial Police announced that they had just urgently arrested Pham Huynh Minh Thinh (29 years old, in Truong Quang Trong Ward, Quang Ngai City) to investigate his behavior of playing bad tricks with many male students.

Thinh is a Taekwondo instructor, he opened an extracurricular martial arts class in Truong Quang Trong ward.

On his personal Facebook, Thinh posted pictures of eating, traveling... with his students. Thinh always proves to be a standard martial arts master to attract students to class.

According to the investigation, while teaching martial arts, this person often approached male martial arts students and seduced them into doing adult things in different forms. He used his phone and camera to record and take photos every time he played tricks with these students.

The victim's relatives discovered the incident and denounced Thinh. During the investigation, the police determined Thinh's behavior so they urgently arrested him for investigation.

Regarding the incident, according to Thanh Nien newspaper, Ward People's Committee leader Truong Quang Trong said that Pham Huynh Minh Thinh opened a martial arts class in the ward from the end of 2022 until now. Students studying martial arts here mainly come from Truong Quang Trong ward, Tinh An Tay commune and Tinh An Dong commune (Quang Ngai city). When the above incident occurred, ward leader Truong Quang Trong was also quite surprised.

Currently, Quang Ngai Provincial Police are continuing to investigate the case of this martial arts instructor to handle it according to the provisions of law. In addition, Quang Ngai Provincial Police recommended that those who were harmed by Pham Huynh Minh Thinh, contact the Criminal Police Department and Provincial Police to coordinate handling according to the law.

In April 2023, My Tho City Police (Tien Giang) prosecuted the case, prosecuted the defendant, and arrested Nguyen Son Ha (27 years old) for the above behavior. At that time, Ha was a teacher at Xuan Dieu Secondary School (My Tho City).

Previously, in mid-March, social networks spread images of text messages containing the content of Ha soliciting his students. Responding to the spread of information, Xuan Dieu Secondary School held a meeting with Ha, the female student and the female student's parents.

The school Board of Directors said that during the meeting, the female student said that the text message was fabricated by herself to defame the teacher. After the meeting, the female student admitted her mistake and publicly apologized to the school and teacher Nguyen Son Ha.

However, when the police got involved, Ha admitted all of her actions.
