Unveiling the terrifying activities inside a "ghost" liposuction spa in the heart of Hanoi

In recent days, public opinion has been bewildered by shocking information related to the Ofood brand cooking oil product - a seemingly familiar name.
The truth is gradually revealed: Nhat Minh Food Production and Import-Export Company Limited was discovered to have used imported vegetable oil for animal feed to process into cooking oil for consumers. An act that is not only blatant fraud but also a serious threat to public health.
Animal feed oil disguised as cooking oil â The shocking truth!
According to information from the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the oil used in the incident was originally a raw material intended only for the production of animal feed. This type of oil completely fails to meet food hygiene and safety standards and is absolutely not allowed to be used in the processing of food for humans.
However, by using sophisticated tricks, this enterprise deliberately "transformed" industrial oil into bottled cooking oil, labeled "soybean oil" or "refined vegetable oil", systematically and subtly deceiving consumers. This behavior is considered to be intentionally distorting the nature, uses, and purposes of the goods - a clear sign of the crime of manufacturing and trading in counterfeit food products.
Great risk to health and consumer rights
Cooking oil produced from raw materials not intended for human consumption is not only a commercial fraud, but also a potential threat to people's health. Experts warn that long-term consumption of this type of oil can lead to many serious consequences such as digestive disorders, liver and kidney damage and the risk of chronic diseases.
While consumers still think they are using "clean cooking oil" products, produced by reputable brands, in reality they are unwittingly introducing toxic substances into their daily meals.
Irregularities in product declaration and food safety management
Although Nhat Minh Food Company has submitted a self-declaration of its products in accordance with the correct procedures, according to the Department of Industry, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has never issued a Food Safety Certificate to this enterprise. At the same time, the Ministry has not received any official reports from local authorities regarding the enterprise's violations - a big question mark regarding the supervision and coordination of management between functional agencies.
According to Article 65 of the Law on Food Safety and Decree 15/2018 of the Government, the provincial People's Committee is the agency primarily responsible for state management of food safety in the locality. The fact that a large-scale fake oil production facility like Nhat Minh Food has slipped through the net is something that makes the public wonder.
Investigate â Discover widespread distribution network
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police has initiated a criminal case on the act of manufacturing and trading in counterfeit food and foodstuffs occurring at the factory of Nhat Minh Food Company in Pho Noi A Industrial Park, Van Lam District.
According to the initial investigation results, from the beginning of 2022 to May 2025, this enterprise produced a series of cooking oil products under the brands "Ofood Cooking Oil" and "Ofood Soybean Oil". However, in fact, these are poor quality products, do not meet consumer standards, and are even classified as counterfeit goods.
What is more worrying is that these "dirty cooking oil" products have been widely distributed to many provinces and cities across the country in extremely large quantities. Thousands of family meals may have been "poisoned" without them even knowing.
Need to handle seriously - Don't let "one bad apple spoil the barrel"
The Nhat Minh Food case is a wake-up call for local food safety management and supervision. Consumers need to be more vigilant, choose products with clear origins, and demand transparent information from manufacturers.
On the part of the authorities, there needs to be strong measures, strictly handling fraudulent acts, including the joint responsibility of local management agencies if there are signs of lax supervision.
In the context of consumers' trust in the food market being increasingly challenged, protecting people's rights and health is not only a responsibility but also an ethics of the whole society.
