Recently, on social networks, posts and photos have appeared with content reflecting a hotel that distinguishes visitors from Da Lat City (Lam Dong province). Specifically, during the last Tet holiday, a female tourist from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, booked a room at the Dream Flower Hotel (located on An Binh Street, Ward 3, Da Lat City) and paid the full amount in advance. .

Although the guest had paid the full amount in advance, when he arrived, the owner of the establishment refused to provide the service to the visitor, and at the same time had discriminatory and disparaging words. Due to being too angry because she was severely insulted by the hotel owner, this female tourist took a video and posted it on social networks. The reason revealed by the account holder is that this hotel discriminates against Chinese-Vietnamese people.

Through verification, the hotel owner with the above behavior is Ms. NTKT (57 years old, director of Dream Flower Hotel Co., Ltd.). After the information spread online, on the afternoon of January 31, the interdisciplinary delegation of Da Lat City came to work with the above hotel owner and made a record of the incident with 2 administrative violations.

On February 1, Da Lat City People's Committee issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of 4 million VND on Ms. T. for discriminating against tourists. In addition, the owner of this hotel was also fined 4 million dong by the authorities for failing to notify before operating the accommodation business.

Talking to Tien Phong, Mr. Le Anh Kiet, head of the Culture - Information Department of Da Lat city confirmed that the above incident happened, and then apologized to the female tourist mentioned above.

"The Department of Culture and Information had to work very hard to find a phone number to contact the female tourist mentioned above to hear the specific report of the incident, then coordinate with the relevant departments to verify and propose the City People's Committee. Da Lat handled the hotel owner. I also apologized to the female tourist on behalf of the city," Mr. Kiet informed.

According to Mr. Kiet, for a long time, the Da Lat city government has published a hotline number to receive complaints from tourists about violations in tourism activities in the area. Therefore, all complaints of visitors will be verified by the authorities and handled soon to protect the interests of visitors; at the same time correcting mistakes and deviations of units and individuals doing business in tourism services.

Da Lat was identified as the earliest tourist and resort city in the country. Throughout its development history, this mountain town has always maintained its image as a poetic destination. The city of fog, the city of pine trees, the city of thousands of flowers, the city of love... But now, Da Lat has appeared too many tourist "dark areas", many ugly destinations, threatening the brand Dreamy Da Lat.

Recently, on social networks, there have been many videos of tourists being scolded and chased away in Da Lat. The images of traffic jams for kilometers, crowded night markets, tourists sleeping on the sidewalks, lake shores... make Dalat tourism more and more degenerate and disappointing.

Mr. Cong is the character in the video that constantly curses the female tourist with many obscene and uncultured words.

As noted by the authorities, Mr. Cong used Mrs. PTTL's car to carry passengers as agreed. While carrying passengers, there was a conflict regarding compensation for delaying the flight of tourists, so Mr. Cong constantly cursed at the passenger. In addition, driver Cong also threw luggage on the road, kicked the passenger's luggage with his foot.

There are too many reasons why Dalat tourism is becoming more and more controversial. Shops cut prices, taxis cut prices, children beg for money, street vendors follow customers, garbage is overflowing ... is the actual face of Da Lat tourism for many years.
