The people who live near the fire place are mainly employees of TH Company (An Phu Dong Ward, District 12), most of them were still working at the time of the fire. However, when they heard the news of the fire, the workers living in the upper apartment block panicked and ran to collect their assets and evacuate away from the fire.

Mr. VTS (63 years old, worker of TH Company) recounted: "I just got back in time to grab a few things and then ran out because the fire was very close. When I ran out, I saw the burnt power cord falling down, accompanied by a loud explosion, so I didn't see the fire. Who dares to enter again?"

Dozens of workers had to "sleep" after the fire

Although the fire only caused damage at the wood factory, dozens of workers at the dormitory had to find temporary shelter because the work on the scene was still long. "We now have to find a place to sleep, the company also lets everyone sleep in the cafeteria because we can't sleep now," said one worker.

At more than 21 o'clock on the same day, when the fire was under control, the functional forces also took some clothes out of the motel room so that workers could wear clothes to keep warm in the cold weather in Ho Chi Minh City.

Receiving the news, PC07 dispatched many fire engines from nearby units and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. The fire did not cause any casualties, but most of the property in the factory was burned, part of the inn was scorched but did not cause much damage.
