"Based on the dashcam, we determined that passenger cars are traveling at a speed of 67-69 km/h, exceeding the allowed speed. This stretch of road is only allowed to run at a maximum of 60 km/h. In addition, passenger cars carrying more than the allowed number of people," said Colonel Lai.

According to some witnesses present at the scene, the container truck was running in the direction of National Highway 1 down to Tam Hiep port, the passenger car running in the direction of Quang Ngai - Da Nang collided with the side of the container truck and overturned.

The police are taking statements from the driver and related people to investigate the cause of the incident.

After the accident, leaders of the Board of Directors of Quang Nam Provincial Police were also present at the scene to direct the rescue work and investigate the cause of the incident.

This woman said that until now, she still has not stopped being shocked by the terrible accident, her whole body still hurts.

Lying in the hospital for treatment with a painful wound in the chest area, Ms. Pham Thi Mai (60 years old, from Thanh Khiet village, Nghia Ha commune, Quang Ngai) said: "The car was running for an hour, she was still awake and talking.
