Recently, a car avoided a motorbike driving in the wrong direction and suddenly crashed into a 17-month-old baby, shocking the online community. After returning from the hospital, the mother gradually calmed down and revealed the moment when the car crashed into her house that day.
Regarding the incident in which a female driver avoided a motorbike and crashed into a house in Group 10, Nong Tien Ward, killing a 17-month-old baby. On December 22, the family held a funeral to send the 17-month-old baby to her final resting place.
In a small house in Group 10, Nong Tien Ward, Ms. X. (mother of a 17-month-old baby) sat with her knees drawn up in front of her daughterâs coffin. She looked haggard, her face gaunt and her eyes red from crying.
Although she was still not over it, she still recounted the incident on December 21. Ms. X. said that at around 5:00 p.m., she carried her daughter to the kitchen to get a bag of cookies and bring them upstairs to eat. Then, she carried her daughter to the door to let her play. On the edge of the wall outside the door, the child's maternal grandfather was sitting picking shrimp.
"I sat facing inside the house, then took the cake to feed my daughter. She held the cake and kept on staring at it, then pushed my hand away to go play somewhere else. When she had taken about 3 steps, I turned towards her and saw a car rushing towards me. At that moment, I quickly reached out to pull my daughter back but it was too late because the car was going so fast that I was thrown off the ground and stunned on the spot," Ms. Xuan recalled.
Just a few minutes later, Ms. X. woke up in a state of panic, but the first thing she thought about was her daughter. "When I woke up, I looked around in panic and saw two people running outside. I didn't think much, I just looked to see where my daughter was but couldn't find her," Ms. Xuan said. Not seeing her daughter, the mother frantically turned over all the furniture that had been knocked over by the car and shouted loudly, "My child, where are you, my child, my child." Then she rushed back into the house to search everywhere.
"At that time, a neighbor ran over to tell me where my daughter was, but I really didn't know. While I was looking for my daughter, the neighbor shouted loudly, I panicked and ran over but couldn't save my daughter right away," the heartbroken mother recounted.
Not having enough strength to move the wheel to save the girl, the neighbor quickly ran outside to shout for help. Hearing the cry for help, the people around quickly ran in and together lifted the wheel. "As soon as everyone lifted the wheel, I rushed in to carry the child out. Immediately after that, I didn't think much, I listened to everyone and took the child to the hospital. At first, everyone said the child would "survive the ordeal", so I calmed down a bit. But when the doctor came out and announced that the child had passed away, I was so sad, I didn't want to believe it was true," Ms. X. cried as she recounted.
According to local residents, when Ms. X. carried her daughter out, she was in a state of panic, screaming at her child as she ran. "Out of pity for her child, the mother cried continuously at the hospital because she could not bear the pain of losing her child. Only this morning did her spirit calm down a bit to return home to bury her daughter," said a local resident.
Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said they are currently investigating and clarifying the incident. After the serious collision occurred, there was information that the driver of the car was a man and worked in the police force. Responding to this issue in Dan Tri newspaper on the morning of December 23, the leader of Tuyen Quang City Police (Tuyen Quang Province) said there would be no exceptions, and would definitely handle it seriously no matter who it was.
"However, this must be done carefully and accurately to determine who was driving the vehicle. There is no way the wife can take the blame for her husband, or ask someone else to take the blame for her. The investigation agency has also summoned the man who was driving the motorbike in the incident to come in for questioning," Dan Tri newspaper quoted the leader of Tuyen Quang City Police.
It is known that at the time of the collision, there was a woman and a man in the car. At this time, the woman got out of the car and admitted that she was the driver. When the authorities tested the woman's alcohol concentration, they did not detect any alcohol concentration in her breath.
Previously, the leader of Tuyen Quang City People's Committee stated that at that time, the female car driver may have mistakenly pressed the brake pedal instead of the gas pedal, leading to such a heartbreaking consequence.
