According to the Department of Health, as of 7am on May 3, hospitals in Long Khanh city have received 469 emergency cases of suspected p.oisoning after eating bread at Bang bakery (Xuan Binh ward, Long Khanh city).

Specifically, Long Khanh Regional General Hospital is treating 321 cases, discharging 19 cases, issuing prescriptions for patients treated at home is 96 cases, transferring 11 cases.

Dong Nai Rubber General Hospital received treatment for 22 cases, including 9 children and no severe cases.

On May 2, he vomited heavily, had a lot of loose d.iarrhea, convulsions, and was admitted to Long Khanh General Hospital in a state of coma, cyanosis, cardiac arrest, apnea. He received first aid and then transferred to Dong Nai Children's Hospital, still in a coma, with heart, liver and kidney damage.

The second most severe case was a 7-year-old b.oy, who also ate bread on April 30 and then vomited, d.iarrhea and abdominal pain. He was admitted to Long Khanh General Hospital and then transferred to Dong Nai Children's Hospital in a state of lethargy and low b.lood pressure. By this morning, the patient's situation has improved, b.lood pressure has stabilized, heart is stable, urinating.

Dr. Le Quang Trung, director of Dong Nai Health Department, said the number of suspected p.oisoning cases was increasing but the patient's health was stable after hospitalization. Long Khanh General Hospital has set up an additional emergency and p.oisoning treatment unit with 70 beds to focus on receiving and treating suspected cases of food p.oisoning from May 2, "so it is not overcrowded". In a letter to Dong Nai Department of Health, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) requested the Department of Health of Dong Nai province to implement contents related to the suspected food p.oisoning incident that occurred at the bread establishment in Xuan Binh ward, Long Khanh city, Dong Nai province.
