According to the Department of Information and Communications Inspectorate, on September 2, a resident contacted the group "Giang Kim Cuc and Associates" about the information that one person died at the hospital, but was not supported. This group went to the hospital to livestream, claiming that the victim's grandmother was the one who took the breathing tube. This news caused public outrage. Soon after, the authorities intervened and verified that the victim in the story had died before going to the hospital. The victim's grandmother was the one who signed the pledge that the victim died on the way to the emergency room.

Hanh said that on the afternoon of September 2, when she received information about the case of a baby who died at the hospital but was not supported by any unit for burial, she immediately went to the hospital and contacted Giang's group. Witnesses said the mother gave birth to the baby on the way to the hospital, but unfortunately when she arrived, the baby had a cardiac arrest and was blue.
