"Super-speed carp station" brings Mr. Apple to heaven causing fever in Hue

The fact that people place objects after worship in public places inadvertently causes loss of urban aesthetics, reducing solemnity. Faced with this situation, local authorities in Hue instructed forces to make models arranged on roads for people to place statues of Mr. Apple.

After the first deployment in 2023, this year the People's Committee of Kim Long ward arranged 11 "Super Speed Carp Stations" at the main roads in the area to send Mr. Apple to heaven. "In 2023, the ward will make tarpaulin and flammable stations, this year switch to corrugated iron, further decoration to create playfulness and visual attraction," said Mr. Mai Khac Khac, Chairman of Kim Long Ward People's Committee.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Quang Dung, Chairman of An Former Ward People's Committee, said that this year is also the second year that the locality has deployed the arrangement of centralized Apple drop-off points. There are a total of 18 sites, after the ceremony on the 23rd, the functional forces will gather for the urban sanitation workers to clean up.

"In the past, after the worship ceremony, people kept leaving it on the street, very unaesthetic and lacking in solemnity. However, since the deployment of these stations, people have very agreed, responded, thereby creating civility and improving the meaning of December 23," Dung said.

It is known that this year communes and wards in Hue City such as Dac Ward, Huong Vinh, Phu Duong ... also deploy centralized Apple statue stations.

According to custom, on December 23, each Vietnamese family is busy preparing a decent tray of rice offerings, carp, incense of flowers to see off Mr. Cong and Mr. Apple to tell the Jade Emperor big and small things in the old year to learn from experience, and at the same time set wishes for the new year.

In Vu Bang's book "Remembering the Twelve", in "Chapter 12: December - Remember the Tet Market", there is a passage about the day Mr. Cong and Mr. Apple: "Since the morning of the mist, I have not stepped foot in bed, I have heard rang o o all the way: "Who buys Mr. Apple's fish?", "Mr. Apple's fish".

Recorded in many poems, "releasing carp" is one of the important rituals indispensable in the ceremony of Mr. Cong and Mr. Apple. Folk often say that carp pass through the gates of the universe, transform into a dragon and soar into the sky.

On this day, every family participates in releasing carp into large rivers and lakes, which is both a collective ritual and a return of life to small beings. This brings spiritual value, combined with actions to protect the environment and create a food source to nourish nature.

In particular, it is not uncommon to see images of grandparents bringing grandchildren and parents taking their children to participate in fish release activities, thereby transmitting the traditional values, culture and customs left by the father's generation to this day. The goal is to educate children to preserve and remember their roots.

In addition to preparing the "means" for Mr. Cong and Mr. Apple to go to heaven, the offerings are also a particularly important thing, usually there will be one set of Mr. Cong codes and three sets of Mr. Apple codes. Depending on the conditions of each family, the tray will be prepared with the flavor of flowers, fruits, betel nut, boiled chicken, bamboo shoot soup, spring rolls ... As long as the homeowner's sincerity is expressed, he is grateful to the gods who have conscientiously ruled the kitchen in the family for a whole year.

Thanks to the ceremony of worshipping Mr. Cong, Mr. Apple to heaven, the family joyfully went to the river bank to release golden carp, each person felt the taste of the approaching Lunar New Year on every street and corner, weaving into every roof.

With good values, deep meaning, but the worship activities of Mr. Cong, Mr. Apple have clearly portrayed the rich spiritual life of Vietnamese people, becoming a good cultural tradition, full of humanity, towards truthfulness, goodness and beauty.
