Ho Chi Minh City: Thanh Buoi car company was granted a license to operate again

In the afternoon of February 29, Thanh Buoi garage was re-granted a transport business license by the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City, after a period of complying with sanctions and overcoming administrative violations.

According to information from Thanh Nien newspaper, in the afternoon of February 29, representatives of the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City HCMC confirmed that Thanh Buoi Co., Ltd. has been re-granted a transport business license after more than 4 months of complying with sanctions and overcoming consequences.

The types of activities under the license include: fixed-route passenger transport business, contract passenger transportation business, tourist transportation business and cargo transportation business by cars and containers.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport requests Thanh Buoi garage to seriously correct and overcome the consequences according to the decision. This garage must comply with the provisions of the law after resuming operation.

According to information, the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City HCMC has received and processed the application for re-issuance of the car transport business license of Thanh Buoi Co., Ltd. At the same time, the department continues to monitor and conduct inspections on the implementation of remedial measures in Decision No. 01 of administrative sanctions dated November 3, 2023 of the inspectorate of the Department of Transport with Thanh Buoi Company.

The city transport management agency also asked Thanh Buoi Company to seriously correct and overcome the consequences in decision No. 01. At the same time, comply with the provisions of law after transportation business activities resume.

On February 27, the department granted a license for transportation business by car to Thanh Buoi Company. The types of activities under the license include: fixed-route passenger transport business, contract passenger transportation business, tourist transportation business and cargo transportation business by cars and containers.

Thanh Buoi operates the following routes: Ho Chi Minh City. HCMC - Dalat, HCMC HCM - Can Tho and Da Lat - Can Tho. The route to Da Lat is via National Highway 20, more than 250km long. Following the crash between a passenger car and a 16-seater vehicle on September 30, 2023, authorities have entered an inspection.

Previously, in November 2023, inspectors of the Department of Transport made a record and sanctioned administrative violations against Thanh Buoi Company of VND 91 million and deprived the right to use a transport business license by car for 3 months (from November 3, 2023 to February 3, 2024).

In addition, the department also issued a decision to revoke the license of transport business by car indefinitely for Thanh Buoi. The reason for revocation is based on Point a, Clause 6, Article 19, Decree 10 of the Government: "Provide copies that are not true to the original or false information in the dossier of application for a business license".

After the accident, Mr. Le Duong, deputy director of Thanh Buoi Co., Ltd., was taken into custody by the police for maneuvering unqualified people to participate in traffic. The accused is the son of Mr. Le Duc Thanh, 64, Director of Thanh Buoi Co., Ltd.
