At that time, the police identified two children being held in a luxury apartment at the Saigon Pearl apartment building. With sharp expertise, the police entered the apartment, successfully rescued the two children, and arrested the suspect PHNV (born 2003; in Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province).

At 2:00 p.m. on April 8, Ms. Nguyen Thi C suddenly received a phone call from a police officer informing her that she had found her two children. She immediately went to District 1 Police headquarters. Here, mother and daughter met again in a burst of joy and happiness.

After taking the two children to the hospital for examination and determining that they were healthy, the police carried out procedures to hand them over to the family, to the joy of the officers and soldiers in the project committee.

"I have never felt as happy as at that moment. During the 5 days of wandering around looking for my two children, there were times when I thought I had lost them forever," the mother said, her voice choking.
