Recently, public opinion was stirred up when two makeup artists at a wedding were detained by the homeowner on suspicion of stealing 20 million VND.

The incident occurred in My Tinh An commune, Cho Gao district (Tien Giang province).

The entire process of searching the suitcases containing cosmetics was livestreamed by the two girls on social media. According to the images in the clip, after the two makeup artists left, they were stopped by some relatives of the groom's family, asking to check their belongings because the family had just discovered that 20 million VND in cash was missing.

"We never entered the bride's private room. We had already left but were still kept, everyone was looking. If we can't find (the mone.y), you must apologize," one of the two workers spoke up.

To prove that they did not steal the mone.y, both agreed to let the customer's relatives search the suitcase containing their tools. Meanwhile, because the job forbade others from stepping on the tools, the two makeup artists tried to remind the people searching, but they did not pay any attention.

Notably, after checking the suitcase and discovering that there was no mone.y inside, the customer's family still did not let the two makeup artists leave and continued to argue loudly. At the clima.x, a woman asked the two girls to take off their clothes for another check.

Frustrated, both of them spoke up and asked for the police to intervene, but the woman threatened to physically attac.k their mouths. Because they were so scared, the two girls burst into tears and had to let the woman search their bodies.

After that, although she could not prove that the makeup artist stole the mone.y, the woman continued to check the suitcase and did not apologize. A while later, the groom and some other people appeared and apologized to both of them.

"We tried to explain that we were only with the bride all day and did not go to her private room. We asked to call the bride down to testify but no one did. How would you feel if your children worked late, woke up early, and went hungry until now and were called in to stri.p and search, and falsely accuse.d of theft?", the gir.l said in tears.

It is known that on the same evening, the makeup salon also showed up at the groom's house and invited the commune police to come and resolve the incident.

Immediately after the incident, one of the two makeup artists added, "The bride and groom did not know when the incident was happening because there were too many guests at the time, no one called for help. The family did it on their own, when they found out, the bride and groom apologized to us a lot. And the two ladies in yellow shirts are now investigating this incident."

Although it is not known how this incident was handled later, the above clip after being shared on social networks has made many people angry because of the groom's family's behavior.

Gia Bao (24 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), a makeup artist with 2 years of experience, felt both indignant and sad when following the incident. During his apprenticeship, Bao's teacher always told his students to never enter the homeowner's private room.

When applying makeup, the stylist must arrange for the client to sit in the kitchen, in front of the family altar, in the hallway or in the living room. Because when the homeowner loses their property, they are easily the first target of suspicion, as in the above incident.

"We were not even allowed to sit at the dining table at the wedding, even though the family invited us. I have witnessed colleagues whose makeup fees were deducted by the host because they believed the invitation and sat at the dining table. In addition, when going to work, the crew must have at least 2 people to be able to support each other when problems arise," Gia Bao shared.

The gir.l said that to become a professional makeup artist, they have to study for at least 4 months, and even take a few years to get started because their skills are not yet solid. Because they provide services, makeup artists not only need to practice their skills very well, but also need to know how to communicate, and even humble themselves so as not to ruin the happy day of the customer.

The salary earned is just enough to cover living expenses, Bao confided, one must love the job very much to be able to stick with it, because this job is very hard. Most weddings start very early, so they have to work from midnight or dawn to complete the bride's appearance in time.

"Once, the bride fell asleep, we called her many times but she didn't answer. The workers had to carry a very heavy toolbox, standing in front of the house waiting helplessly in the middle of the night, feeling both scared and insecure. Not only that, while working, we were often watched by others but couldn't speak up or react," the gir.l said.
