On the afternoon of August 13, the leader of Gia Lam District Police (Hanoi) said that the District Police Department's Investigation Agency had issued a notice to search for Do Thi Kim Ngan (SN 1985, residing in Hamlet 4, Giang Cao, Bat Trang, Gia). Lam (commonly known as Ngan "ceramic"). Accordingly, from August 2020 until now, the police agency has received a number of denunciations against Kim Ngan about fraudulently appropriating property.

According to the denunciation, she used the Facebook account: Do Thi Kim Ngan Paula, Ngan ceramic, Zalo Ngan ceramic account to livestream, taking advantage of the gullibility of many people to sell ceramic products and other items with Cheaper than the market. Notably, the "giant woman" also uses sales to call for disaster relief and economic hardship in order to defraud the property of unsuspecting shoppers.

When receiving the money transferred from the customer, Ngan blocked the contact number, blocked Zalo, Facebook. Ngan also cursed and insulted shoppers. After receiving the denunciation, the Gia Lam District Police summoned Do Thi Kim Ngan many times to work, but she was not present at the locality and did not come to work as requested. Currently, Ngan's whereabouts are unknown.

Before being accused of fraud, Do Thi Kim Ngan was known as a self-proclaimed "giant woman" in ceramics. In 2018, Ngan was famous on the social network Facebook for driving in the middle of the road causing traffic jams when reminded by traffic police in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province.

By the end of 2019, Ngan "ceramic" continued to be known to many people when there was a clip recording the image of this woman being drunk, driving a car in traffic at high speed. In this clip, Ngan screams, cries and challenges the police. Ngan made netizens angry with the sentence: "Where, no one is here to stab me? Your lives are hundreds of millions, a billion. What are you worth, a few bucks ...".

Immediately after the press published information about the case of the "giant Ngan ceramic" being scammed, on the morning of August 14, netizens also found the fanpage "Ngan Gom" posting sales articles as usual. often upsets a lot of people. It is known that this fanpage has more than 60,000 followers and claims to be "Specializing in producing high-class Bat Trang ceramics, with a variety of designs, worship items, teapots, feng shui decorations...".

On Ngan Gom fanpage, they often sell many imported products such as home appliances, phones, iPads, bicycles, massage chairs, etc. at super cheap prices, only half or even 1/3, 1/4. compared to the market price with phone number for trading.

According to the victims, the phone number that Ngan "ceramic" made public on Facebook was always unreachable, all incoming calls were busy and there was no ring. But when searching on Zalo, there is an account named Ngan "ceramic", which can exchange and sell products. However, as of 8:30 this morning, the account on this zalo has been locked.

Recently, dozens of groups have appeared on social networks to expose and denounce the scam of Ngan "ceramic". In it, there is a group with more than 10,000 members.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (Kien An, Hai Phong) is a victim of Ngan "ceramic" stealing money when buying online, with 1 knife, 1 refrigerator and 1 washing machine with a total bill of 16,870,000 VND. Ms. Thu transferred all the money to a bank account named "Do Thi Kim Ngan". However, after transferring the money, she texted back but did not see a reply from her Facebook account. After that, the messages and calls were blocked.

Also a victim of "ceramic" Ngan, Ms. TN (HCMC) transferred 8,100,000 to buy iPad. However, after the transfer, she discovered that she had been cheated, even though she texted many times, there was no response. Worth mentioning, her mother also fell into the scam of Ngan "ceramic".

Accordingly, on the fanpage Ngan "ceramic" posted a post to liquidate household goods to donate to the Covid-19 vaccine fund, her mother quickly placed an order including: 1 set of German pots and pans, 1 oil-free fryer, 1 set of knives, 2 sets of teacups, with a total value of up to 21,500,000.

"My mother transferred the money right after. It sold goods like crazy, so my mother thought she didn't need customers, afraid that if she didn't buy it, it would run out of stock. After transferring the message, the other party didn't answer, call, or even listen. I used another number to call and didn't hear it. Currently, I have contacted the authorities to denounce this fraudulent behavior, "said Mai Anh.

These are just 3 of the many victims who have had money taken by Ngan "ceramic" when buying online. Some people lost several million dong, some people lost tens to hundreds of millions of dong.
