The tragic accident of Mr. D.X.S. (born in 2001) occurred during the recent New Year holiday has shocked and saddened the public. Many people couldn't help but be stunned when they learned his true background.
According to initial information, Mr. S. took a bus from Hanoi back to Nghe An to visit his family, but unfortunately met with an accident right at his door when there were only a few steps left to reunite with his relatives after a long journey.
Sharing with the press, the leader of the People's Committee of Tan Phu commune, Nghe An province said that Mr. S. is an officer working in Hanoi. At about 3 a.m. on the same day, when he arrived at the gate of his local house, he unfortunately had a serious accident that led to his death. The sudden death of the young man left great pain for his family, relatives and friends.
On social networking forums, information about the incident quickly spread and received a series of comments expressing condolences. The online community is even more embarrassed when they know more about the background and study and work journey of the unfortunate boy through the sharing of people who know the victim.
Specifically, an account claiming to be a former teacher at Le Loi High School - where Mr. S. used to study, as well as a neighbor of the family, posted a rather long article, providing a lot of information that makes anyone who reads it choke.
According to shared, Mr. D.X.S. was born in a well-off family in Thuan Yen hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune, former Tan Ky district (now Tan Phu commune), Nghe An province. His extended family is known as good at business, lives honestly, kindly and is always loved and respected by the villagers.
S. himself is a gentle, hardworking guy with outstanding academic achievements from high school to university. After graduating from the Diplomatic Academy with a good degree, he was accepted as an intern at a number of units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. By October 2025, S. is honored to become an official Party member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, marking a new journey for S. in the journey of dedicating youth to the country.
With his efforts and contributions, S. was officially recruited and became a reporter of the Foreign Affairs Department of The World and Vietnam Newspaper, an agency under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In his farewell eulogy to his young colleague, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - Editor-in-Chief of The World and Vietnam Newspaper gave many emotional words when referring to him: "A talented young intellectual, with a progressive and aggressive spirit, always listening and successfully completing the assigned tasks. Before returning to her hometown to visit her family, S. was able to complete an article on an important topic. Our newsroom will treat S.'s last article as a keepsake."
An old classmate of Mr. S. also shared that the victim was instrumental in rebuilding the Diplomatic Academy student football team after the COVID-19 pandemic. He is applying for graduate school, and at the same time carrying out procedures to buy social housing to be independent, even though his family has full support conditions. Those responsible plans are now forced to stop forever at the age of 25.
On his personal page, journalist Phan Huy wrote: "Every loss leaves sadness, but the passing of a young colleague makes many people shocked and mourned... The passing of an obedient and kind young person leaves a deep sorrow, difficult to name by name."
