According to a source from the Korea Times, NewJeans has announced that it will change the group's name to NJZ. This decision was made after the group announced that it was terminating its contract with the management company ADOR and could not continue to use the old name.

"Get ready for an exciting journey with NJZ in 2025, stay tuned. Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein's new group name is NJZ. Let's look forward to a great journey ucngf NJZ in 2025," the members announced on their new social media accounts.

Immediately after the new name, the 5 girls continued to announce that they would perform at a concert in Hong Kong (China) in March. Along with that, the group also announced the latest image when participating in the global fashion and street culture festival ComplexCon. This also means that this is the group's first activity as NJZ instead of NewJeans as before.
