The Best Performance award went to How Sweet by NewJeans. In his acceptance speech, NewJeans expressed his joy.
The group said they were really happy to receive this achievement, especially because this is an achievement they wanted to give to their performance directors (PDs). They always put a lot of effort into creating unique stage designs for every performance, and thanks to their hard work and the efforts of the group members, they were able to deliver great stages.
"We are extremely happy to receive this award. We also want to thank our dancers," said NewJeans.
Notably, the NewJeans girls thanked CEO Min Hee Jin - former CEO of ADOR and were touched to see so many Bunnies (the group's fan club) supporting them.
"When we first debuted, we received the 'Best Performance' award, and now receiving this award again is a great honor. We think this is the award that our members love the most. So we are extremely happy.
"Performing is not just about the choreography, but also the comfortable and stylish costumes that add beauty to the choreography. We are grateful to the staff for providing us with beautiful costumes that make our stage shine," the members said.
Recently, KBS responded to the deletion of the article related to Min Hee Jin after receiving the third petition from the audience. Specifically, according to Kbizoom, on December 29, on the KBS Viewer Petition Board, KBS said: "As we explained before, after the video was uploaded to YouTube, additional information was added that was different from the original report. After considering various aspects, the decision to delete the article was made according to broadcast production guidelines and internal procedures."
The station also emphasized that KBS applies the same process to other news reports and is committed to maintaining objectivity and fairness in reporting on major social events.
Previously, a petition was submitted by Mr. Park, who had submitted two previous petitions asking KBS to explain the reason for deleting the article titled "Min Hee Jin's side: 'Trying to block NewJeans' official statement'... HYBE responds: 'Disappointed with Min'".
Mr. Park argued that KBS should provide a clear and transparent reason for deleting this article.
In an earlier response, KBS explained that the decision to delete the post was made after considering various aspects and following internal procedures. However, this explanation did not convince Mr. Park and thousands of other social media users, leading to the filing of a third petition.
The deletion of the post has caused a lot of controversy in the online community, especially when the post mentioned one of the controversial figures in the current Korean entertainment industry, Min Hee Jin.
She is the former CEO of ADOR and the person behind the group NewJeans, who is facing multiple allegations related to the way the group was managed and operated, and the months-long conflict involving HYBE.
KBS affirmed that it will continue to fulfill its responsibility to objectively and fairly report on major social events, emphasizing that it will adjust or delete reports if necessary to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information.
On December 25, Korean time, the members of NewJeans appeared on the second segment of CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun Jung's News Show."
Here, they share their thoughts on the past year and their aspirations for the year ahead. Notably, they don't use their group name "NewJeans," but instead participate under their own names â Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
Hanni expressed her wish for 2025, saying, "I hope we can have a big stage performance in Korea. When I say a big stage, I don't just mean a large audience, but a performance where I can show my best."
