"BLACKPINK's sister" set the venue to make Vietnamese fans 'boo', coinciding with 2NE1?

The organizer of the concert world tour called Hello Monsters of BABYMONSTER - the "gir.l group BLACKPINK" in Vietnam has confirmed to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) on May 31, 2025.

Thus, YG decided to let the "youngest" group in the company organize a world tour in Vietnam at the same venue as 2NE1's seniors. Previously, YG also announced 2NE1's concert world tour in Vietnam which will take place at the SECC Exhibition and Convention Center on February 15-16.

SECC Convention and Exhibition Center is the place chosen by many organizers to organize music events such as Rap Viet Concert, The Masked Singers Concert, Adex K-pop Concert,... The venue has a capacity of 5,000 to 8,000 people - considered suitable for the audience that loves the rookie group YG. However, immediately after the information was announced, many fans "shouted" because this is a place quite far from the center and inconvenient for the audience. However, there is also an opinion that organizing an international concert event is a reasonable choice.

It can be said that only in the first days of 2025, Vietnamese fans have received a lot of good news when they continuously received information that the famous Kpop stars chose the S-shaped country as a destination in their world tour concert journey. That can be mentioned as 2NE1, BABYMONSTER or most recently Jisoo (BLACKPINK) with the Hanoi location for the fan meeting tour. As the audience's expectations grew, the group announced plans to perform a series of 2NE1's favorite songs during the concert, in honor of their senior group.

The special tracklist, dedicated to the concert, will feature a mix of high-quality performances and unique Bab.y Monster tracks based on 2NE1's iconic songs.

YG Entertainment confirmed that it was the members who hand-picked the songs, expressing their admiration and respect for 2NE1 during the tribute session. The group is in the final stages of perfecting their performance, ensuring a memorable experience for fans.

After the concert in Seoul, Bab.y Monster will embark on a world tour through 14 cities, 23 shows, with stops in the US, Japan, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur.

This global journey marks a milestone for the group as they continue to connect with fans around the world.
