Long Non La - Thai student of VG "Rap Viet season 3" is undergoing cancer treatment

Recently, at an event, rapper Long Non La (Thai team VG - Rap Viet 3) shared that he was suffering from cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The information makes fans and the rap fan community extremely worried.

Long Non La said he discovered he had a serious illness at the end of 2023. At that time, he felt tired so he went for a general check-up. The doctor diagnosed him with malignant lymph nodes in his abdominal cavity, forcing him to undergo chemotherapy to shrink them and then have them surgically removed.

"Fortunately, I discovered the disease in its early stages. Up to now, I have been undergoing chemotherapy for several months. I lost my hair and eyebrows. At first, it was difficult for me to accept my image, but I got used to seeing it in the mirror a lot. After that, I let everyone know, not hiding it," the 24-year-old rapper confided.

He is still maintaining a positive and optimistic spirit to live with the evil disease, at the same time, eating and exercising as advised by the doctor to have good health.

At first, when his hair and eyebrows fell out, Long Non La felt a bit guilty, but gradually he accepted himself and no longer hid it from people around him. He confided that when his mother found out, he was very sad, but he couldn't hide it from her forever. To this day, his mother is still by her side, taking care of and supporting her son every time he goes to the hospital for chemotherapy.

Long Non La's manager said that at the present time, he is hospitalized to prepare for the third round of chemotherapy . "Long's current health situation is not very good, because every time he undergoes chemotherapy, After treatment, Long's body will weaken. Due to the medication, his hair and eyebrows will fall out and dark spots will appear on his body due to the effects of chemotherapy."

Regarding the male rapper's specific illness, the manager said: "At first the doctor diagnosed cancer, the cancerous tumor was removed. After the tumor was removed, the test was re-tested to see if it had metastasized. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong with that area. However, a new area was discovered in the abdomen and the doctor diagnosed the new area as a malignant lymph node...".

Even though he was having to deal with chemotherapy, Long Non La still took the opportunity to record after each chemotherapy session. The manager said that after the second round of medication, Long even tried to spend a day filming the MV, expected to be released in the near future.

Long is the youngest in a family of two sisters. The older sister was born in 1993, is married and currently works as a teacher in the countryside. His father passed away when Long was 10 years old. His mother worked hard as a farmer and took care of her two sisters. Therefore, Long is trying to work so that his mother can "retire" soon.

Long said his life hasn't changed much after participating in Rap Viet season 3, but there is more work to do. "After the competition, I believe in myself more and can do more things," he shared.

Economically, Long supported his mother a lot, but since she fell ill, her mother has supported her in the opposite way. "I had 2 rounds of chemotherapy, the 2nd round was the weakest and had to be delayed for a long time. After that, the doctor told me to just go back and exercise, walk or do light work, in general." Exercise to gain strength; eat well to have strength to continue treatment."

Long Non La's real name is Le Hoang Long. True to his stage name, Long Non La often appears on stage to perform with a conical hat.

In season 3 of Rap Viet, Long Non La impressed with the sincerity and simplicity of his rap lyrics and style. He became one of the prominent contestants of Thai team VG and was only defeated by "god of war" Mikelodic in the semi-finals.
