The male singer filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of California, USA, in Orange County, against Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III, singer Bich Tuyen's husband. In the lawsuit, the male singer claimed that Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III was irresponsible, leading to his serious injury and the amputation of several toes.

Singer Bich Tuyen revealed that Dam Vinh Hung had asked Mr. Gerard if he paid 15 million USD (about 381 billion VND) he would not sue. However, the billionaire felt that the amount was unreasonable because the accident was not the fault of the couple. Unable to meet the request, Dam Vinh Hung filed a lawsuit, with the compensation amount of up to 50 million USD (about 1,000 billion VND).

Singer Dam Vinh Hung himself said in a status posted on his personal page on February 21, 2024, a few days after the incident, that he wanted to stand in a high position so that audiences from afar could see him. "Unexpectedly, the area was not very safe, he fell down, the wound was quite deep and had to go to the hospital for many stitches and severely affected Hung's ability to walk," Mr. Dam wrote.

Amidst the lawsuit controversy, singer Bich Tuyen said that she and her husband are currently not in agreement with the compensation amount that Dam Vinh Hung is demanding of 15 million USD. From the US, singer Bich Tuyen said: "Regarding Dam Vinh Hung's 15 million USD lawsuit, my husband has done nothing wrong to demand such a large amount of compensation."

Singer Bich Tuyen added that she and her husband will not compromise on the amount of compensation Dam Vinh Hung requested: "We will go to court, we will not negotiate or compromise with Dam Vinh Hung."

According to information provided by singer Bich Tuyen, the trial of the lawsuit between her and her husband and Dam Vinh Hung will take place earlier than originally scheduled in June 2025. The California Supreme Court confirmed it had accepted the case on November 4 and sent it to the judicial branch for processing. The first hearing is scheduled for June 2025.
