The parade has ended, but until now, the performance 'Continuing the story of peace' performed by Vo Ha Tram still receives strong attention from the audience, even reaching the #1 position on the music trending chart of YouTube Vietnam.
This is an impressive milestone, affirming the influence of the performance not only in terms of art but also in terms of national spirit, conveying a profound message of peace and solidarity.
However, less than two days later, on the morning of May 10, audiences were surprised to discover that the performance had disappeared from the YouTube trending list without any official announcement from the platform. The incident left many people bewildered, especially since the performance had once held the top spot with more than 2 million views.
It is worth noting that while the original has been "disappeared" from the top trending, another version of the same performance, posted by another YouTube channel, is still holding the 9th position in the rankings. This difference has raised many questions in the online community, especially about the possibility of being related to the issue of content copyright - a story that is no longer strange in the context of the increasingly diverse number of content distribution platforms.
Some social media accounts spread rumors that the song's "father" - musician Nguyen Van Chung stole VTV's copyright.
Outraged by being slandered, musician Nguyen Van Chung suddenly posted a long article on his personal page, speaking out about the series of controversies surrounding his song.
"I'm so tired. Why did I copyright my own song to get it out of the top 1, when the longer it stays at the top, the higher the views, the more benefits and mone.y I get from sharing copyright revenue?", Nguyen Van Chung was indignant.
He also confirmed that he has legally licensed many units, singers and schools to use the song, with the aim of spreading the message of patriotism and peace. The male musician said that if the video is really copyrighted, the system will block the display, mute or remove it - something that has never happened with the performance on VTV channel.
"No one has the right to violate principles and laws like that. It's like you receive rent and then kick out the guests. Accusing me of stealing VTV's copyright is completely baseless," he added.
The male musician emphasized that if the video is copyrighted, it will not be viewable, will no longer be displayed, or will be muted. Meanwhile, the song video on VTV's channel will still exist.
He expressed sadness when some opinions on TikTok not only made baseless speculations but also showed signs of intentionally causing division and destroyin.g the relationship between him and other artists.
"I don't deserve negative words, false inferences... I cannot continue to remain silent," he said, affirming that if this situation continues, he will seek intervention from authorities or social media platforms.
Nguyen Van Chung's post immediately received a lot of attention and shares. Many colleagues and audiences expressed their sympathy for him. Singer Vo Ha Tram also sent words of encouragement: "You just focus your energy on composing more good and meaningful songs. Everything that is not happy will pass."
Currently, the artists involved have not yet given an official response on why the show was removed from the trending list. While waiting for a clear answer, fans are still sharing and spreading the show, as a way to show support for the artists and the noble message that the show brings.
Although this incident is regrettable, it also shows the strong influence of a well-invested and meaningful musical product. "Continuing the story of peace" is not only an artistic performance, but also a touching message about patriotism, solidarity and aspiration for a bright future for the Vietnamese people.
