In the early morning of March 26, a large fire broke out at a warehouse storing adhesive tape in Dong Du commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi. The fire broke out fiercely, quickly spreading, creating a column of black smoke covering the entire area.
According to people living nearby, the fire broke out at around 0:10 a.m. on March 26 at a tape factory in Dong Du Commune, Gia Lam District, Hanoi. The fire brigade determined that the fire was complicated, so they requested support from firefighters in neighboring areas to control the fire.
According to local residents, the fire broke out at a tape storage facility. As a result, many flammable plastic materials caused the fire to flare up fiercely. However, there is a gas station not far away, which makes many people worried.

The road leading to Ecopark urban area was barricaded to make room for the fire trucks.
By 1:20 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. The Chairman of Dong Du Commune People's Committee informed that no one was injured in the fire. The authorities are currently assessing property damage, including a four-seater car that was burned down and a truck with its front end burned.
The forces continue to coordinate efforts to control and completely extinguish the fire and clarify the cause and damage of the fire.
According to some residents, there are not only shops around the factory, but also many houses. "Next to the factory is a gas station, fortunately the fire did not spread there. If the fire had reached the gas station, I don't know how serious the consequences would have been," said one resident.
Around 11:00 p.m., as usual after a day of work, Ms. H and her husband (the coffee shop owners) fell asleep. After about 20 minutes of dozing off, she suddenly heard loud shouts of "fire, fire" outside the shop.
Startled awake in a state of unconsciousness, Ms. H smelled a burning smell and rushed outside to discover that the adhesive tape factory about 50m away was on fire. At this time, outside continued to be heard shouting to put out the fire, her family members woke up and heard this and rushed outside to escape.
"When I went out, I saw smoke and fire coming from inside the factory. A few people tried to put out the fire but failed, so they immediately reported it to the authorities," Ms. H said with a trembling voice.
After observing and seeing that the fire had not spread, Ms. H's family decided to run back into the shop to take the refrigerator and valuables out.
"Here, the pho restaurant is closest to the fire. My coffee shop is in the third position, in the middle is an empty store. The fire had just spread to the pho restaurant when the fire department arrived in time to control the fire spread," Ms. H shared.
Ms. T. - a resident said that the place where the fire broke out was a tape factory, inside there were many flammable materials. Normally in the evening there would be 1 to 2 security guards watching the factory. When the fire broke out, the security guards quickly ran out and shouted for everyone.
