When arrested, the woman insisted that she and the man were in a relationship and had not broken any laws. As for the old man, he cooperated with the police immediately after being caught red-handed. However, due to his advanced ag.e, Mr. Wei (82 years old) had to ask for help from the police. It took the police 3 minutes to help him put his clothes back on properly.

At the scene, when questioned by the police, Mr. Wei honestly answered all the police's questions.

It all started when the old man went out for some fresh air. As he passed through a small alley, he was suddenly grabbed by the arm by a woman who 'offered him a special service'. At first, the old man intended to ignore it, but then thought better of it and decided to listen to the invitation.

After pretending to greet her as if they knew each other, Mr. Wei followed the woman into the house. During the conversation, he learned that her surname was Chen and she was about 40 years old.

After a few words, they began to discuss the price. Initially, Ms. Chen asked for 100 yuan (about 350,000 VND), but Mr. Wei felt it was too expensive, so after a while of bargaining, she reduced it to 80 yuan (about 280,000 VND). When they "got down to business", there was a sudden knock on the door. With a hunch, Chen quickly got dressed and tried to run away, but it was too late. The police broke down the door and rushed into the room to restrain both of them.

However, with their professional skills, the police quickly found loopholes and evidence proving that the two had made a transaction. The woman, surnamed Chen (40 years old), later admitted her wrongdoing.

"I know this action is illegal, but at my ag.e, besides this 'pleasur.e', what else is there to 'entertain'? I have been a widow for many years, my children and grandchildren live far away, and my health is no longer good enough to participate in dancing activities. I also feel lonely like many other old people living alone.

"I also have normal needs, although they are not like when I was young, but they are not non-existent. When you reach my ag.e, you will understand. This should be normal, but when I say it, I really feel embarrassed," the 82-year-old man shared with the police. Many police officers present at the scene also felt embarrassed when they heard the old man frankly share his needs.

After the incident was made public, many people expressed their sympathy for the problem of loneliness among the elderly today. At the same time, it reminded everyone of a pressing issue: the lack of concern and openness in expressing and meeting the psychological and physiological needs of the elderly.

However, the above buying and selling behavior is still illegal and needs to be eliminated. The old man and the woman still have to face penalties according to the regulations.

As for Ms. Chen, after conducting an investigation, the police discovered that Ms. Chen was in a particularly difficult situation. Her husband was seriously ill and needed mone.y for treatment, and she had tried many jobs but could not afford the hospital fees. Life's twists and turns made her decide to do this job, after hearing that this job made mone.y quickly and was not tiring.

Considering the circumstances of Mr. Wei and Ms. Chen, the police decided to only fine them and keep their records, but not detain them.

The sale of 'pleasur.e' among the elderly is not uncommon, and it partly reflects current social problems. When the psychological and physiological needs of the elderly are often neglected, people even tend to avoid it because they think it is not "decent".
