Previously, at about 14:40 on August 12 at National Highway 14 through Chu Puh district (Gia Lai), there was a serious traffic accident between BKS 81H-027.60 car driven by Dinh Tien Binh (SN 1987) from Dak Lak to Gia Lai.
Upon arriving at the above location, the driver's car Dinh Tien Binh collided with BKS 81A-004.70 car driven by Nguyen Tu Sinh (SN 1966, resident of Pleiku City) carrying 3 people of HAGL club including: assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, striker Paollo Madeira Oliveira and doctor Dao Trong Tri. This car was sandwiched into a truck BKS 47C-263.06 driven by Nguyen Tan Xon (SN 1984, Krong Búk district, Dak Lak).
In the accident, 3 members of HAGL club died. The seriously injured driver Nguyen Tu Sinh was taken to the emergency room.
On August 13, the police agency determined that the cause of the traffic accident belonged to the driver Dinh Tien Binh. This driver drove the overtaking truck without ensuring safety conditions, lacking attention to observe.
