Before that, around 6 p.m., many families in the Hong Ha new street area were busy preparing dinner when they were startled by a loud explosion. People quickly ran out of their houses to check, but before their eyes, a level 4 apartment near Hong Ha apartment building was on fire.

"I was in the house when I heard a loud explosion. At that time I didn't know where the explosion was, so I quickly took my child and ran out to see and saw that my neighbor's house was on fire," said a neighbor living near the house that was burned. fire said.

Another resident said that the house that caught fire was the combined residence and business of Mr. MVY and his wife, Ms. NTT (Mr. Y.'s wife). When a fire was discovered, people shouted to each other and quickly called the authorities.

At this time, Mr. Y. promptly escaped the fire and went back to save his wife and children but could not. He panicked and called out "my wife, my children... run", but there was no movement. He himself was burned so he was taken to the emergency room.

Not long after, the Fire Department and Rescue Service arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. At the scene of the fire, authorities discovered that his wife and two small children had not survived.

According to people living near the burned house, Mr. Y.'s family moved here to rent a house for a while and do scrap business. "I heard my child say that his classmate's house was on fire, so I drove my motorbike to see what the situation was like. When I got there, I found out that my mother and I had passed away...", the woman burst into tears and said that her eldest child The victim's family studied in middle school and was very well-behaved.

After many hours of struggle in the hospital, the surviving husband's health was more stable. However, his face, arms and both legs were still very painful due to severe burns after the tragic fire. Recalling the incident, Mr. Y. said, at around 5:30 p.m., while he was using a hydraulic press to press hairspray cans in the house, suddenly a large fire broke out in the press area.

In just a split second, the fire broke out, his clothes were destroyed by the fire, causing him severe burns. Because he was so surprised, Mr. Y. could only run out in front of the house. "At that time, the fire broke out in just a split second and burned down the whole house. As I ran out the door, I immediately thought of my wife and two children still inside, so I rushed in to save me. But by that time the fire had already broken out. It was very loud, toxic smoke was thick, people stopped me from rushing into the fire again," the victim said.

Mr. Y. added that after the fire burned fiercely, the family's gas equipment and gas tanks exploded, causing the entire ceiling and structures to collapse. That's why his wife and children couldn't escape. Also according to the husband, he and his wife have been working in the junkyard business for 10 years. A representative of Thanh Tri District Police said that the initially determined cause was that Mr. Y. used a specialized machine to crush scraps and squeezed a can of hair spray, leading to an explosion, causing a fire to spread to the surrounding area.

Currently, authorities are continuing to coordinate with functional forces to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
