Also recently, on the fanpage of Phan Van Tri Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), a letter was posted by Mr. Le Hong Thai, the school's principal, with the intention of refusing to accept flowers to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20. Instead, he suggested: "Due to the difficult economic situation, through this open letter, the school hopes that instead of giving flowers, benefactors, businesses, and organizations would like to change the form by giving notebooks, milk, and sports equipment so that the school can reward the students."
