The company's security guard took advantage of the chairman's absence, sneaking into the room to steal 1.3 billion VND

On December 1, the Dong Trieu City Police (Quang Ninh) said that they had just detained Nguyen Hong Phuc (born 1996, Dong Trieu City) as a former employee of Dat Viet Ceramics Joint Stock Company) to investigate and clarify the case of property theft.

Previously, at 8:35 p.m. on November 24, the security guard of Dat Viet Ceramics Joint Stock Company discovered that Phuc appeared on the 2nd floor of the company's office building without permission.

At the time of discovery, Phuc was carrying 1 cloth bag, 1 key, 1 umbrella and 1 magnet.

Suspecting that Phuc intended to steal property, the security force reported and invited the Dong Trieu City Police to the scene and temporarily detained Phuc to clarify the incident.

Through investigation, Phuc admitted that during the period from November 2023 to April 2024, he repeatedly broke into the office and bedroom of Mr. Nguyen Quang Muu (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dat Viet Ceramics Joint Stock Company) to steal more than 1.3 billion VND.

Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified.

Previously, in July, the Investigative Agency of Phan Thiet City Police (Binh Thuan province) also prosecuted the case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained 11 people for the crime of Theft of property and Consumption of property committed by others.

The group of defendants prosecuted for the crime of theft of property are mostly security guards of DT Security Company or former employees of this security company and a security guard of CT Security Company.

The results of the investigation showed that, at 15:30 on April 5, Mr. Pham Van Tien (born 1994, residing in Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district), an employee of the Space Bodyguard Company who was contracting to protect the assets of the NovaWorld Tien Thanh project, went to the Tien Thanh Commune Police to report, was broken into the construction of H5 Hotel of the NovaWorld project (in Tien Hoa village, Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city) and stole property including: 1 coil of fireproof cable, 96m of copper electrical cable (divided into many coils).

The value of the stolen property is about over 200,000,000 VND. The time when the property thieves were determined was around the night of March 22 and the night of March 23.

Determining the seriousness of the incident, the Phan Thiet City Police coordinated with the Tien Thanh Commune Police to conduct an examination of the scene, extract cameras in the area where the incident occurred to conduct an investigation.

By April 8, the police had identified the subjects involved in the theft and arrested them. The police determined that Dang Si Luan was an employee of DT Security Company who was contracting with Nova Word Company to protect the water park in the NovaWorld Tien Thanh project.

Therefore, Luan knew that inside the construction of the H5 hotel there was a warehouse for coils of copper cables. Luan initiated and invited Nguyen Anh Vu, Vo Quoc Chien, Pham Thanh Tung, Tran Thanh Thanh, Le Duc Anh Tai and Bui Minh Trung to break into the warehouse of the H5 project to steal property.

At about 10 p.m., on March 22, Luan, Thanh, Trung, Tai, Vu, Chien, Tung and Hoan came to the front of the water park with tools to steal property.

Thanh, along with Tai and Trung, broke into the H5 warehouse to steal copper core cables, while Luan, Vu, Chien, Tung and Hoan were outside the security forces of the NovaWorld project.

The subjects stole about 70 kg of copper cables into the sack and took them out. After that, Luan brought the above wires to sell to Nguyen Thanh Hung with an amount of 10,000,000 VND.

Then, at about 10 p.m. on March 23, a group of subjects including: Dang Si Luan, Tran Thanh Thanh, Bui Minh Trung, Nguyen Anh Vu, Vo Quoc Chien, Pham Thanh Tung and Tran Thanh Hoan continued to steal property at the H5 warehouse.

Thanh, along with Trung and Chien, broke into the warehouse to steal copper core electric cables, while Luan, Vu, Tung and Hoan were outside the security forces of the NovaWorld project. This time, the subjects stole 23 pieces of electrical cables with large copper errors.

At noon on March 25, Trung rented a truck carrying 182kg of copper core wire to a scrap purchasing facility in Duc Long ward (Phan Thiet city) with an amount of 30,700,000 VND.
