In July, a huge fire broke out with an oil pipeline in Egypt, causing smoke to rise and dozens of cars were burned. Dozens of firefighters worked to put out the massive fire.
Video of the burst oil pipeline fire circulating on social media showed plumes of black smoke billowing up on the highway linking Cairo to Ismailia, on the Suez Canal.

Egypt is not a major oil exporter in the world but crude and petroleum products flow through the Suez Canal on a daily basis. Jordan and neighboring Israel rely on Egypt's oil pipelines to meet their energy needs.
