4 people died in Hanoi due to burning votive paper to worship Mr. Cong Ong Tao

According to initial information, the fire occurred at about 2pm on February 4 at the motel room number 3, lane 71, Tam Khuong street, Dong Da district, Hanoi city.

At that time, a group of young people including 4 people were staying in the motel room when suddenly the fire burned fiercely. All four of them were seriously injured.

At 16:00, the leader of the People's Committee of Khuong Thuong Ward said that up to now, all four victims have died.

Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, Chief of the Hanoi Public Security Office, said that according to preliminary investigation, on the morning of February 4, they invited another person to eat and drink on the day of Mr. Cong and Mr. Tao. Then this group of people turned to gold.

"However, after turning gold, one person went out and locked the gate. The rest slept in the house and died," Colonel Nghia said.

Mr. Vuong Thai Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Khuong Thuong Ward, said that they are not locals, nor have they registered for temporary residence or temporary absence. This group has been allowed to stay by acquaintances since January 30. The specific identities of the four victims were identified as Mr. Le Bat Th. Born 1997, hometown Trieu Son, Thanh Hoa province; Giap Van N (born 1997, native of Bac Giang); Tran Duy H (born in 1997, from Nam Dinh); Le Khac S (born 1997, from Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa). All 4 people are university students in Hanoi.

All 4 victims living here are students, in addition, they also work as a shipper. Currently, the Criminal Police Department and many professional forces of the Hanoi Police have investigated to clarify the cause of the fire.

Earlier on February 3, about 15:45, according to initial information, people discovered a fire broke out in a house located on Vo Thi Sau Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, so they shouted to each other to find a way to put out the fire. but failed because the fire spread quite quickly.

Receiving information from the public, the Fire and Rescue Police Team - District 3 Police dispatched 3 specialized fire engines and 25 officers and soldiers to the scene, deploying fire fighting and rescue plans.

During the fire fighting process, fire and rescue forces discovered that on the balcony of the burning house, an 11-year-old girl was trapped on the second floor of the house. Immediately after that, the fire and rescue forces deployed to rescue the baby and brought him down safely.

Around 4 p.m. on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished by the fire department. The cause of the fire and damage are currently being investigated and clarified by authorities.
