The testimonies all confirmed that there was no phenomenon of disunity, assault, militarism, fighting occurred in the unit. Most commented that soldier Do was quiet, quiet, did not violate discipline, did not see any conflicts with anyone.

Taking the testimony of the parents of 5 students from Bac Ninh, they all said that since their children joined the army, when they called back, there were no negative phenomena, disunity, assault, militarism, fighting. occurs in the unit. When they heard about the incident on social networks, through calling and asking, their children all said that there was no Do soldier being beaten to death, the information spread on the internet was not true.

According to the testimony of practitioner Dao Ba Hai from the same unit as Tran Duc Do, around 9 am on June 27, while Hai and Do tied the rack for shovels and broom hooks, the two talked to each other.

When Hai shared his hobbies and asked Do about his hobbies, Do replied: "I just like to stay in a dark room alone, turn off the lights, close the door", then Do asked Hai again: "Have you ever been in a dark room? Have you thought about suicide?" Hai yelled at Do: "Are you crazy?" When Do asked Hai: "Do you like to be friends with me?" Hai did not answer and then moved on to another topic. During the conversation, Do's voice was quiet, his expression sad and unhappy.

On June 30, Mr. Tran Duc Hoi and Ms. Tran Thi Dong, the biological parents of soldier Tran Duc Do, had a request for lawyer Luu Quang Hung (Hoan Cau Law Firm, Hanoi Bar Association) protect the legitimate rights and interests of Tran Duc Do. Pursuant to Articles 36, 78 and 84 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the investigating agency has notified lawyer Luu Quang Hung of registration of defense and participation in proceedings in accordance with law.

During the investigation, the investigating agency distributed polls to students of Company 14 (4th Battalion, Military School of Military Region 1) and 62 soldiers in Do's former unit, Regiment 2. (Division 3, Military Region 1) by secret ballot, with a record of checking and recording the results, with the following contents: Is there a situation where officers and commanders assault their comrades? Is there a status of cadres and military commanders? Did the old soldiers bully the new soldiers in the process of studying and training at the unit? The investigating agency took statements from Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh (SN 1974) and Mr. Nguyen Van Luong (SN 1978, living in Bai Flat hamlet, Ban Dat commune, Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province).

Ms. Chinh said: At about 2:30 p.m. on June 28, when she was sitting to tie the seedling in the Bai Flat area, she saw a few soldiers about 300 meters away at the acacia tree (in the military training area). and saw someone falling, but still saw a person on the tree, Mrs. Chinh thought she was going to catch a bird that had fallen.

Mr. Luong said: On the afternoon of June 28, while drinking water at Mr. Dao Van Nhuan's house in the same neighborhood, his wife called and said "there are soldiers hanging out there". After that, Mr. Luong and Mr. Nhuan came to see that a soldier was breathing and pressing his heart outside his chest, another man squeezed his hand for a man in a blue bra and camisole lying on his back on the ground.

Then a few more people came, but Mr. Luong didn't notice. Mr. Luong said: "If you're dead, what's the point of breathing?" The person who was performing cardiac compression said: "The water still slaps you." After the ambulance arrived, Mr. Luong left.

According to Military Region 1, immediately after the incident, the investigating agency together with the unit conducted an inspection and test point of personal belongings of soldier Tran Duc Do and the whole unit. Through inspection, only the backpack of the Do soldier had no rope to increase the hammock, there was 845,000 VND in the backpack. In addition to personal belongings, in the backpack were discovered 3 letters written to the family but not sent (mainly content about homesickness and about daily life and love and solidarity with comrades). team in the unit).

The investigative agency also took statements from the father, mother and some family members of soldier Tran Duc Do. Ms. Tran Thi Nhung (Do's biological aunt) testified: Since Do went to school as Captain, the two aunts and nephews often communicated, texted on the phone and Facebook with each other, the content of visits was normal. About the time before June 25, 2021, Do called back, when talking, Ms. Nhung asked: "Do you, are you okay there, have you been beaten?", Do laughed and said "I'm fine. I just got beaten by the commander but it's okay" and told Nhung not to tell her parents. Nhung also provided the investigating agency with the content of Facebook messages between the two aunts and grandchildren from June 15, 2021 to June 25, 2021.

According to the results of the investigation of the scene, the acacia tree where soldier Tran Duc Do was found hanging was about 10m high, the diameter of the root part was 25cm, the tree tilted to the right about 13 degrees in the direction from the top of the hill. .
