There are many other items that inertia the price in the sky in the bill that people can verify for themselves. Not stopping there, the total cost of food was 15,724,000, but the restaurant continued to charge an additional "Tet surcharge" of 4,717,200, customers paid a total of 20,441,200 VND.

Mr. H.V.T - the owner of A.B restaurant (Nguyen Thien Thuat Street) said that the incident was not like the M.H account posted on social networks. According to Mr. Tam, at about 6 p.m. on February 3, a Chinese delegation of nearly 20 people entered the restaurant. The social media bill posted is a combination of all the items in the group that have eaten. The restaurant only received 4,482 yuan (or more than 15.6 million VND). Regarding the issue of surcharges, Mr. Tam said that it was the part of customers who brought beer, wine and tea into the shop.

According to lawyer Phung Huyen, Deputy Director of A Law Firm, specified in Articles 9 and 29 of the Law on Prices 2023, business organizations and individuals must be obliged to list the selling price, the listed price is the final price that the buyer must pay to the seller. The price listing must be clear and not confusing through the forms of printing and pasting on boards, paper, menus or other forms. When the price has been posted, the seller is not allowed to sell higher than the listed price.

In addition, Article 13 of Decree 87/2024 stipulates that for acts of failing to list prices, violating individuals are sanctioned from 500,000 VND to 1 million VND, organizations are from 1-2 million VND and are forced to list according to the provisions of Point a, Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 4, Article 13 of Decree 87/2024.

For the act of cutting and selling goods at a price higher than the listed price, the violating individual shall be fined from 5-10 million VND; violating organizations shall be fined from VND 10 million to VND 20 million and forced to return to customers the collected amount higher than the listed price according to Clause 2 and Point b, Clause 4, Article 13 of Decree 87/2024. In case the customer cannot be identified or the customer refuses to receive the money back, the entire difference due to the sale is higher than the posted price shall be paid to the state budget.

In addition, in case of slashing customers, pressuring or intimidating customers to pay higher than the listed price, the seller may be prosecuted for criminal liability for the crime of extorting property according to the provisions of Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 1-5 years in prison. "Thus, if the authorities determine that the A.B restaurant in Nha Trang City is slashed, depending on the nature and behavior, tourists will be refunded," said lawyer Phung Huyen.
