On the morning of February 5, Mr. Ho Van Tam, owner of Aroma Nha Trang, Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, confirmed that the post on the social network of the account "Minh Ha" was written about his shop.

Mr. Tam said that the incident was not completely true as posted on social networks. According to him, the Chinese delegation of about 20 people entered the Aroma restaurant at about 18:00 on February 3.

When they entered the restaurant, they ordered a portion for nearly 20 people to eat, the consultant advised that if one portion was only enough for one user, the tour guide in the group said: "Just make enough 20 people to eat, mone.y is not important".

"Our menu is for one person. The tour guide announced that the restaurant fine-tuned the portions of the dishes to suit the number of more than 15 people and did not need to worry about mone.y. We have an agreement and the guest has agreed. However, when issuing the invoice, the customer did not accept and only paid 4,482 yuan (or more than 15.6 million VND)- Mr. Tam said.

"We were wrong from the staff, due to poor advice, the restaurant only accepted to receive more than 15 million VND out of a total bill of more than 20 million," Mr. Tam further explained.

Regarding the grilled eggplant with onion fat costs 1,250,000 VND, white rice costs 250,000 VND, stir-fried morning glory costs 500,000 VND... The owner of Aroma said: "That's the portion of 20 people eating, the bill is calculated together, so the price is like that."

Particularly, the amount of 4.7 million VND "Tet surcharge", Mr. Tam said that it was the part of this group of customers who brought their medicinal wine, beer and tea into the restaurant to use. The issue of surcharges has been agreed from the beginning with the delegation.

Also according to the owner of Aroma restaurant, the female tour guide leading the group asked for a commission (% of leading guests to quán_NV) on the total bill. However, because he did not receive enough mone.y as invoiced, the restaurant did not agree to pay the commission. "After the incident of posting about the restaurant on the Internet, this tour guide cut off contact and could no longer call," said the owner of Aroma.

As reported by the press, on the afternoon of February 4, a Facebook account named "Minh Ha" posted an article in a group with more than 375,000 members, reflecting that Aroma Nha Trang restaurant calculates bills (bills) at sky-high prices for foreign guests.

The account "Minh Ha" wrote: "Today surfing on the Chinese Xiaohongshu app, I came across this post of a tourist in Nha Trang. See in the inertia bill the mone.y for very expensive dishes.

The account "Minh Ha" asked: "Do you ever go to a restaurant and order Coke and Tiger beer for 100,000 VND/can? Or eat stir-fried morning glory with garlic 500,000 VND/plate. After the incident, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City directed relevant departments and departments to set up a team to inspect, verify the incident, and handle it according to regulations.

According to records, Aroma Nha Trang restaurant, at No. 8 Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, has closed and removed the signboard. The signs were dismantled and stacked in front of the shop. The iron doors of the shop were pulled closed. The seafood reservoir area was also pulled in an iron frame and no people were seen inside.

According to a resident, Aroma Nha Trang restaurant has removed the sign and closed early in the morning. "I came out here at 6 a.m. and saw that the shop was closed, removing the signboard. In the morning, the police and market management forces came, but the owner was nowhere to be found," said this resident.

Previously, a similar story was spread on social media. Specifically, a rice shop in Tuy An district was accused of 'slashin.g' by tourists when charging more than one million VND for white rice dishes, boiled morning glory, stir-fried squid, and fried eggs.

According to the information in the article, the family traveled for Tet, when they came to An Hiep commune, they stopped by T.M restaurant to eat. When entering the restaurant, the family ordered two bowls of rice, two plates of fried eggs, a bowl of spinach soup, a plate of spinach, and a plate of stir-fried squid. The restaurant does not have a menu or price list.

However, when he finished eating, the owner reported that he paid more than 1 million VND.
