Before that, at noon on December 31, 2022, the boy Thai Ly Hao Nam and 3 friends went to the Roc Sen bridge project in Phu Loi commune, Thanh Binh district to pick up iron.

While walking through the construction site, baby Hao Nam fell into a hollow concrete cylinder with a diameter of 25cm, which had been hammered into the ground about 35m deep.

On the evening of January 4, Vice President of Dong Thap province Doan Tan Buu informed that the boy Hao Nam had died, after interdisciplinary consultations with forensic medicine, health and local authorities based on many related factors.

From here, Dong Thap province's functional forces changed their measures from rescue to finding a way to bring the boy up so that the family could take care of the aftermath. Manpower, equipment, machinery, even 180kW vibrating hammer from Vung Tau were also transferred to Dong Thap to serve rescue work.

After 21 days of putting all their efforts into rescue and rescue, at 1:20 a.m. on January 20, the rescue force was able to bring baby Hao Nam to the ground.

Currently, after the rescue and rescue work is completed, the relevant units have taken the machinery and equipment for rescue out of the Roc Sen bridge. At the same time, the Dong Thap Department of Transport is designing and proposing a technical treatment plan related to the bridge abutment with the concrete piers that have been pulled up. Other abutments and piers are still constructed normally.
