The case of a girl being murdered and her body dumped in Gia Lam district (Hanoi city) shocked public opinion. The victim was identified as HYN (born in 2006), the arrested suspect is Ta Duy Khanh (born in 1985), the two have had a close relationship since early 2023.

One of the things that confuses the public about this shocking case is related to the victim's year of birth when there is a difference between the information: 2004 and 2006.

According to information about HYN at the time of winning the title of 2nd runner-up Miss Vietnam Ao Dai 2022, she was born in 2004. At that time, HYN registered as a student at Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. If calculated based on this year of birth, this year the victim is consistent with being a 2nd year university student.

However, according to information in Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper updated from a press conference announcing the results of the investigation from the authorities on the afternoon of October 16, the victim was born in 2006. This makes many people wonder why he was born in 2006. 2006 but HYN is already a university student?

According to admission information from Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema, candidates taking part in the majors: Drama, Film - Television Actor, Cheo, Cai Luong, Puppetry, are required to be between 17 and 22 years old. That's why HYN can take the exam to enter this school in fields that require under 18 years of age.

During the investigation, the police determined that the victim was born in 2006 and are verifying whether the victim is an Asian queen or not.

HYN's mother said that she is the second child in a family of 3 brothers. For many months, Yen Nhi has rented a private house to live independently, not living with her family. Since October 11, she lost contact with her daughter. On October 14, she received a request from the police to identify the body. She said that at first, just by looking at the photo and looking at the lotus flower tattoo on her right heel, she realized that this was her child, but it wasn't until the DNA results came back that she believed this was true.

Focusing on verification and investigation activities, at 11:00 p.m. on October 14, professional units of Hanoi City Police coordinated with Thai Binh Provincial Police to detect and arrest the suspect, Ta Duy Khanh (born 1985, hometown in Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province) in Thai Binh.

This is a murder case, to hide a crime. After killing the victim, the subject took all identification papers, divided them into many pieces and threw them away, hiding the body in the Red River, Mieu Ban area in Giang Cao village 2 (Bat Trang commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi City).

At the investigation agency, Ta Duy Khanh admitted that on October 10, 2023, he had an appointment with Ms. N. to come to his house. When entering the living room, the two had a conflict, so Khanh took a sharp knife and stabbed Ms. N several times in the chest area. On the afternoon of October 13, when he learned that the police had discovered him, Khanh got in the car and fled to Thai Binh. When the police came to arrest him, Khanh intended to commit suicide but was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
