The case of 4 female workers spreading HIV: The cause has been investigated, the suspects involved have been summoned

On social media, rumors suddenly appeared that 4 female workers working in Hai Phong were arrested by the police, on suspicion of being "industry girls" who spread HIV to dozens of people. Currently, the incident is being investigated and clarified by Hai Phong police.

On September 6, the police of Hai Phong City said that in recent days on social networks appeared articles with false content about 4 female workers of LG Display Hai Phong Limited who carried out acts of body trafficking and spread HIV to many people.

The above information attracted the attention of a large number of online communities and many comments, causing confusion in public opinion. This also directly affects LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong and individual female workers.

Immediately after capturing the information, the police of Hai Phong city instructed professional departments and the police of An Duong district (Hai Phong) to verify and review the owners of social network accounts posting false information to clarify and handle according to regulations.

Accordingly, the police of Hai Phong city summoned and worked with 4 individuals who posted false information, including: D.T.H.N. (residing in Hong Thai commune, An Duong district), N.T.H (residing in Dong Phuong commune, Kien Thuy district), N.T.L. (residing in An Duong town, An Duong district), T.T.V.A. (residing in Nghia Xa ward, Le Chan district) of Hai Phong City.

At the police office, the individuals were well aware of their misconduct, removed false information themselves, and pledged not to reoffend. The police of Hai Phong city have issued a decision to administratively sanction the above 4 individuals for the act of providing and sharing false information.

In response to the above incident, the police of Hai Phong city advised people to raise their vigilance, not to post and share false and unverified information. This information will cause confusion in public opinion, affecting the security and order situation in the locality.

It is known that earlier on the morning of August 31, confirming with the reporter, a representative of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong (LG Display) said that the unit has requested Hai Phong Police and Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to resolve the spread of unverified rumors about employees.

As of this writing, in recent days, untrue content and rumors have appeared on social networks related to employees of LG Group in general and employees of LG Display in particular.

Specifically, on August 23, the company began to detect information that a Facebook account named "Nguyen Thi Lua" posted a screenshot from a Zalo group with the content "1 child in Ktx made about a dozen brothers infected with HIV. Is there a brother infected with k" along with a photo that resembles 1 female employee of the company.

On August 25, LG Display corrected information on internal groups with content claiming that the above information was inaccurate. At the same time, the management met face-to-face and exchanged with the female employee whose face resembles the girl in the photo that went viral online.

On August 29, the company continued to receive information on social media with the content "Police arrested 4 female employees at the company on suspicion of buying and selling bodies and infecting many other employees working here."

Immediately after receiving the information, the unit identified 4 employees who were believed to be HIV positive and took the initiative to take 3 people for testing, negative results for HIV. In the case of the remaining female employee because she is 30 weeks pregnant, it is not convenient for testing.

A representative of LG Display said that the incident affected the psychology of workers and the image of LG. Therefore, LG Display expects Hai Phong Police and Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to investigate and clarify the case.

Talking to reporters about this, a representative of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board confirmed, immediately after confirming that the information spread on social networks related to 4 employees of LG Display Company is fake news. The representative asked Hai Phong Police to intervene to investigate and clarify the incident.
