At the investigating agency, Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung (born in 1993, Cai Loy district) testified: In January 2024, through a friend, Nhung lent VND 50 million to Luu Van Hoang Anh (Long Tien commune, Cai Loy). In the afternoon of 24/1, Nhung called Kien Thuong (born in 1996, Go Cong Tay district) to ask Hoang Anh to collect debts. Accepting the invitation, Thuong brought Vo Cao Tuan (born in 1980), Nguyen Tan Vu (born in 1982) and Nguyen Hoang Phuc (born in 1986, from Chau Thanh district) with him.

Before leaving, the group threatened to return if Hoang Anh still did not pay. After that, Nhung transferred 1.2 million VND to Thuong, Thuong paid Phuc, Vu and Tuan 300 thousand VND each. Initially, the subjects admitted their violations of the law.

- The crime of threatening to kill under Article 133 of the Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of 7 years' imprisonment.

- The crime of intentionally causing injury or harm to the health of another person as prescribed in Article 134 of the 2015 Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

- The crime of shaming another person as prescribed in Article 155 of the Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of 5 years' imprisonment.

These severe punishments are intended to ensure public order and protect people's lives, health, honor and dignity. The handling and punishment of acts of intimidation and intimidation in debt collection is necessary to ensure security and justice in society.

In addition, gangsters often arbitrarily seize debtors' assets under the pretext of offsetting the money they are owed. In essence, these are acts of forfeiture of property, even robbery. In this case, the rental debt collector may be examined for criminal liability for the following offenses:

- Robbery is defined in Article 168 of the Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, and may be punishable by a fine from VND 10,000,000 to VND 100,000,000.

- The crime of forfeiture of property under Article 170 of the Penal Code, with a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, or a fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 100,000,000.
